*Kali wakes up with a start*
STAY BACK DEMON!
*She whirls around and grabs the nearest thing she can with the Force, a chair, and throws it*
*About the same time T3-M4 rounds the corner in the corridor, having heard Lee's talking to himself, and wanting to investigate. As he turns into the dormitory, a chair flies right at him*
DWOOOO!!!!!
*He spins around and tries to roll away quickly, but the chair hits him in the back and topples him over*
BIZZIP!!?? Translation: WTF!!??
*Kali looks around, startled*
The Ebon Hawk? What the kark? How the hell did I get here? We were just on Korriban... buying wookiees....
*suddenly horror overcomes her face*
OH NO! I kissed Atton!

*When Kali shouts, Lee grips his head in agony. Lee closes his eyes shut tightly but opens one slightly, just in time to see a chair go flying and hit T3.*
It wasn't me this time, I swear!
*He gets up to look around the corridor to see if T3 is okay. He sees the poor droid knocked over by the chair. He does his best to concentrate while hungover to tilt the droid back up to his upright position. It's wobbly but he manages to do it.*
*He looks over and notices the chair. Feeling confident, he reaches out with the Force to move it. It lifts into the air and Lee begins levitating it back into the dormitory. When it's some distance from the poor droid, Lee hears Kali scream about kissing Atton. In shock of both the statement and volume Lee Force Throws the chair on reflex, hitting T3 with it and grabs his head.*
Can everyone keep it down, kark it!
*Lee remembers the chair.*
Uh-oh.
*He looks around the corridor to see if T3 is okay.*

*I heard some ruckus from the dormitory, and headed over. I saw a chair come through the doorway and hit T3.*
~Whoa...why the hostility?~
*Putting my head in, I see Lee standing up, clutching his head every few moments, and Kali in shock about something.*
"Are you both alright?"

*T3 hasn't even managed to right himself yet when the chair yet again crashes into him*
DWOOOOEOOEOEPEPEPEEEPPPPP!!!!!!! Translation: [unintelligible swearing]
*Kali looks around, still too horrified at the thought of making out with Atton, to be all that concerned about T3*
No... no... this is not good.
*she looks down and looks at the clothes she is wearing - a Czerka Uniform*
Where the hell did this come from!?

*Lee flinches as he hears T3's squeeling, both at the pain and at having been the one to cause it.*
Sorry...oops.
*He looks over at Master Shim as she comes in.*
It's-it's fine. Just sobering up. I haven't had a hangover this bad in awhile.
*As Kali mentions something about a uniform, Lee looks her up and down and realizes that's not what she was wearing before.*
Where's your civilian clothes....?
*Lee trails off and looks down to give his outfit another once over.*
Oh what the Force! I'm in one of these things too.
*Lee glances around hastily, hoping he didn't lose his lightsabers as well. But he sees them under his bunk and sighs in relief.*
Oh good. Still got the sabers. I just happened to have lost my clothes.
*Lee looks down at his uniform again.*
Oddly enough. This is the first time I've lost my clothes and woken up in a uniform.
*Lee pats his nose again, getting the same mixture of dried and fresh blood.*
I'm going to freshen up. Something did a number on my nose.
*He gives Kali another glance and shakes his head.*
There are worse fates.
*He leaves the dormitory to find a place to freshen up and stop the bleeding, as well as clean up the blood.*

*Having not received a clear answer about who and what the Sith are... or why they are headed toward a Sith planet. Ze shrugs and goes to the other dormitory - deciding to leave the intoxicated mammals to their rest. Ze lays down on one of the beds and sleeps for a few hours. We wakes to the loud wailing of a droid cursing... He had not realized that droids could be so profane. Ze makes a mental note to try to keep PK-1 away from that T3 unit... the last thing he needed was for Pekay to pick up any bad habits from a droid that had gone too long without a memory wipe*
*Ze stands up and goes to investigate the source of the droid with the foul vocabulator. He finds T3-M4 laying in the corridor outside the other dormitory toppled over on one side. He rights the little droid*
"There you go, little fella. You okay?"
"Dweopp! boop!"
"Oh. I'm sorry. Well I'm sure I could help you repair that."
"Bizzz woop."
*Ze looks around the corner and sees the three Jedi conversing*
"Well I'll be in the cockpit if you change your mind."
*Ze heads to the cockpit where he finds Atton*
Hello Atton.
*Ze looks around, notices the astrogation chart on the left side, and walks over to study their destination. He pulls up some information on Dantooine - the planet they mentioned they were headed to. Predominately temperate grasslands. Human settlements. Main export: produce, main import: technology and luxury items. Local fauna: Iriaz, Kath Hounds, Kinrath, Flying Mantas, Stalking Lizard. Primary Cities: Garang, Khoonda. Currently under Sith Occupation. A largely unremarkable planet, Ze thinks, similar to nearly 80 percent of the habitual planets in the galaxy*
"May I ask why it is that we are traveling to a planet where the Jedi's mortal enemies reside?"

*Atton slumps an arm over the chair and turns a little so that he can turn his head to look at Ze.*
Hello Ze.
*He watches as the verpine looks over the astrogation chart and then pulls up some information. He waits quietly, knowing the verpine must have some question. Afterall, he was just added to the crew and was probably the most out of the loop about this mission. Finally, he asks a question, one that Atton had anticipated.*
The planet's home to an old enclave the Jedi used before the Sith moved in. Before the occupation the Jedi hid a bunch of Sith Holocrons. Now we've got to try and retrieve them.
*Atton thinks back for a moment, when Kali confronted Atris.*
They're nasty things. Their presence alone can corrupt. And for the Sith, it could make them alot stronger than they already are.

*Ze thinks on this for a moment before responding*
"I see.... I'm still confused on this Sith. Master Shim spoke of them briefly. They are like the Jedi, no?"

No, no they're not.
*Atton thinks for a moment. Ze didn't understand much about the Jedi, Sith, or the Force. Yet he could use the Force. Explaining the difference between the Jedi and the Sith would be a significant lesson. But there were far better Jedi qualified for this. One of whom was on the Ebon Hawk but convienently taking care of Kali and Lee.*
They're similiar in that they use the Force. But the difference is in how they use it and their philosophy. The Jedi represent what they call the "light" side of the Force. They are considered peace keepers and strive to use the Force only for knowledge and defense. The Force, to them, is an ally and has a will of it's own.
The Sith are much different. They represent what's called the "dark" side of the Force. They use the Force for personal gain. The Force is like a tool to them. They use it and manipulate it to their will and desire.
*Atton sighs.*
But I'm probably the last person to ask about this. I've been on both sides, but I was never really a Sith and I'm not much of a Jedi either.

*I watch the ensuing interaction between Kali and Lee. Regrettably, I don't realize that T3 has a chair still on top of him until Ze brings him right side up. Seeing Ze leave for the cockpit and Lee leave for the refresher, I ask Kali,*
"Do you need me to get you anything, Kali? It sounds like you've been through a lot."
*I wait in the doorway for her to reply*

*Kali sits down on the bed and holds her head in her hands. Glancing over as T3 is righted by Ze. T3 rolls quickly away from the dormitory before any more chairs can collide with him. She squints her eyes in response to seeing the Verpine*
Wait... is he still working on the transponder code? I thought I heard Atton say something about nearing Dantooine already.

*Shakes head*
"He finished. Ze was done before we left Nar Shadaa. Atton said we were close to arriving at Dantooine. I could find you a jedi-robe if you want, or with the Sith occupation, should we wear civilian clothes?"

Yeah... Jedi robes on a Sith planet... probably not a good idea.
*she looks down at the Czerka uniform she is wearing, and an idea sparks in her head*
You know what? I think we might have just found our cover story. Czerka merchants sent to Dantooine to pick up a shipment. (*she winks*) It's not our fault they lost the shipping order. Ze got us a merchant code right?
*she pause*
Wait... if he finished before we left Nar Shaddaa, then why is he still on board?

*Taking each part of Kali's statement at a time, I say*
"Ze said that this ship is the freighter Ninja Pigeon, registered and owned by Czerka Corporation."
*Pausing for a sec*
"Ze is a Force Sensitive, and I've offered him an opportunity to come to the Jedi Academy. Mira and Atton found him while they were talking to Mr. Tubb about getting the code changed."
*Thinks about Kali's idea*
"Hmm. That could work, and to say that the natives probably won't want to deal with Czerka due to the reputation. It might work if the others of us wear civilian clothes with you and Lee in the Uniforms?"
*The last part I ask and then wait for Kali's reply about Ze and the strategy.*

*Kali remembers back to when she first met Ze in the mechanic's shop. She had sensed a ripple in the Force, though him being Force Sensitive had crossed her mind she hadn't put too much thought into it. With all the people and activity on Nar Shaddaa, it could have been anything or anyone*
Force sensitive, eh? Well that's quite the coincidence, isn't it? Hmm
*She notices a green hat sitting on the bunk beside her, obviously it had fallen off her head when she had laid down. She inspects it. Definitely Czerka issue*
Yeah... this should work just fine. Lee and I have uniforms, the rest can be in civy clothes as our hired hands or techs. Slaves even.
*She chuckles to herself at the thought of Atton portraying a slave*
Anyways. I'm gonna go to the cockpit and update the others on the plan.
*she gets up, places the Czerka hat firmly on her head, and heads to the cockpit*

*I listen, and say,*
"This plan sounds sound."
~Hmm...I wonder if there are civilian clothes in the storage section or maybe another dormitory?~
*Stands up after Kali leaves, and heads out the door to find some civilian clothes. I peak my head in the dormitory on the left-side of the Ebon Hawk. Seeing a drawer, I find some civilian clothes of variety of types and sizes.*
"Hmm..."
*Tosses some behind me as I look for something I want to wear*
"This one looks good. Now to find a top."
*Looks through the closet, and decide on a shirt and vest of colors that fit, though aren't too special. I close the door, and take off my robes, and put on the pants. Then I place the shirt on and the vest. Looking at my reflection in the mirror, I say*
"Hmm. Not bad. Kind of... *tries to pull pants a bit to the left*...tight. It'll do though."
~I'll see if the others bring their lightsabers, since that would totally give us away, though if the plan collapses while on Dantooine, we'll be without lightsabers on a Sith planet.~
*Fold my robes and place my lightsabers on top of my robes and pull them into my arms. Once ready to leave the room, I realize that I made a small pile of clothes on the bed. Levitates the pile, and places it in the drawer where they came from. Using the Force to close the drawer, I open the door, and walk out and head to the main-central area of the Ebon Hawk. Sitting in a chair, I wait for Kali to inform the others.*

*Ze listens carefully, trying to take in everything he can about this. This is his first lesson as a Jedi, after all*
"I think I understand. Both are capable of using the Force, but it is the way in which they do so that differentiates the two. The Jedi use their power for good. They are selfless, they only care about others. Whereas the Sith think inwardly, only about themselves.
"But... you said the Jedi believe the Force to have a will of its own. How is that possible? It is not a sentient being with rational choice, is it? How can something so intangible have a will?

Post by Atton Rand on Aug 27, 2009 20:27:10 GMT -5
*Atton scratches his head.*
See, this is the kind of stuff Jedi Masters sit in the Council Chambers all day meditating on.
*Atton pauses for awhile, trying to think of some kind of answer.*
The Force is like...a life force. A conscious of sorts.
*He gives another long pause of thought.*
Many different sentient cultures believe in deities or gods. A living thing that has no physical body. Think of the Force in something like that regard. Not necessarily a god, but a living conscious that has no true physical form like you or I.
*Atton gives another pause, letting his hand back to the back of the chair to rest.*
But if you want any greater explanation than that, I'd seek out an actual Jedi Master. One that actually knows more philosophy on the Force; maybe Master Shim.

Post by Ar'kikze S'ss'nixztoo on Aug 27, 2009 20:33:17 GMT -5
*Ze doesn't quite understand, thought he recognizes the conceptions*
"But belief in such mythical deities are illogical and without any factual basis. Whereas the Force, as all Jedi and anyone who encounters a Jedi are aware, does indeed exist... in some form."
*Ze thinks on it for a moment*
"So the Force is both tangible, yet intangible. Such a contradictory nature seems impossible...."

*Kali enters the cockpit*
Improbable, but not impossible. But how about we save the metaphysical philosophy for the Jedi Masters, eh?
Atton...?
*She shifts uncomfortably. One of the few things she remembers from the night before was her kissing Atton*
Umm... What's our ETA on Dantooine?

*Atton shrugs*
Hey. I'm a Jedi now. I gotta get use to this stuff, right?
*Atton notices Kali shift uncomfortably, but decides not to make any mention of it. If she was feeling awkward then she definently remembered the whole making out thing. Far be it for him to confuse her even more though.*
Yeah, Dantooine. We should be dropping out of hyperspace right now.
*Atton looks Kali up and down, noticing the Czerka uniform and hat.*
You might want to do the talking, by the way. Czerka ship, czerka uniform. The hat makes you look pretty important too.
*Atton shifts his gaze from Kali to the planet now before them and the sith fleet orbiting the planet.*
Here's where the fun begins.

*Kali nods*
Yeah, sure, no problem.
*as soon as she says so the comm crackles to life*
::Czerka Freighter we have you on our screens. What is your cargo and destination?::
*Kali straitens her back and looks as profession as she can as she activates the holo-imager*
This is Czerka Freighter Ninja Pigeon, Captain Shadee speaking. Destination Khoonda, we were sent to pick up a shipment of self sealing stem-bolts.
*Kali had no idea what a self sealing stem-bolt was or did, but it sounded important enough*
::Stand by.::
*There is a pause for nearly 20 seconds*
Now we find out if that Transponder Code we got is worth what we paid for.
*she winks at Ze, and the comm opens back up*
::We don't seem to have record of your shipment. Please transmit your copy of the shipment order form for our records and then proceed to the Khoonda dock to work out the details of the transaction. Chiaki out.::
*The holo-imager fades away and Kali slumps back and blinks her eyes*
Well... that went well. Now all we need to do is forge a shipping order. Too bad Deanna's not here. Ze? Think you could help us out with that?

*Ze tenses as Kali and the Sith Officer on the other end of the commline speak. He looks out the window and sees a massive number of large Sith Warships. For someone who had never seen even a single warship, it was quite intimidating. After the conversation ends, surprisingly quickly, Ze nods his head to Kali*
"Yes. I should be able to rig something up. I had to deal with shipping orders all the time at Mister Tubb's shop. Czerka and otherwise."
*Ze walks over to the co-pilots seat and sits down, being that no one was occupying it at the time. He pulls up a blank screen and quickly begins typing away, creating a fairly accurate shipping order for self sealing stem-bolts. After he is finished he copies it and transmits it to the Sith ship*
"Okay. That should do it. If they cross check it with the Czerka main frame it's bound to bump and cause a glitch. But if all they're doing is putting it in their records, like they said, then it shouldn't catch anyone's notice for at least another fifteen to twenty years."

*Lee comes out from the fresher, his nose having stopped bleeding and his czerka uniform cleaned up. He makes his way to the cockpit to check how far away they are from Dantooine. But as he enters, he sees Kali ending her conversation with the sith fleet and asking Ze to forge a shipping order.*
Yeah. You'd have to go all the way to Corellia for that. No need to waste time.
*Lee rubs his eyes as he moves further in the cockpit and stands beside Kali. He gives her another glance.*
Do you remember how we got these things? I sure don't. It all gets blurry about the time I arrive at the cantina. Can't remember a darned thing after that.
