*Sha used the safety belt and let Atum take them into the space. Crossing the atmosphere, she felt the incredible expanse of the universe before her and she couldn't resist to admire it. They were only a little speck of dust in the neverending mass of deep blue space, only a small shining point among the thousands.*
"I always have to wonder how it is possible all this was created."
*Sha said and watched the beauty in front of her. She wondered about all the worlds out there, about all the discovered and yet to be discovered cultures and people she never met.*
"Is Dantooine far from here?"
*She suddenly asked and wondered whether Atum has ever flown such a spacecraft, but she felt he's very calm and trusted him. The Force was there with them and she was sure it will not abandon them.*

Atum looked out through the shield into the milky black expanse that was space. Awe in his eyes, he set a course for Dantooine. All he'd have to do is pilot out of the orbit and let hyperdrive do its thing. They would be in Dantooine within the next three hours.*
"Me too. I could never figure out how any of this came to be. But the universe is probably millions of years old, so I doubt anyone knows."
*He looked at the star map on the console, touching it, zooming in on the screen as numbers hovered above the hologram.*
"Nothing the hyperdrive can't do! We'll be there in no time."
*Flipping a switch, they zoomed off into the stars.*
OOC: Post in Dantooine orbit, I have an idea I want for it's surface.

*After receiving specific orders from the Chancellor in light of Executive Order 11-38, the fleet in orbit of Telos is placed on a heightened alert. Any ship that identifies as a Jedi vessel is to be detained immediately. Any ship that refuses to identify is also detained. In addition, a squadron of Aurek fighters issues from the Exultant flagship and takes up a patrol route over the northern polar regions of the planet. With less fanfare, a diplomatic shuttle bearing General Rhylla makes its way to the TSF HQ module followed by two Republic troop transports.*

*Exiting hyperspace, a Fuel Freighter turns and heads for the station as it has done a couple of times every week for the past three years. Concerned about the unusual activity going on, the ship's first mate and mechanic hurries to the bridge*
-Ashyin- "What's going on? Why are the engines spooling down?"
-Ship's Captain- "Shomethin's goin on out tear. Shomethin big by da looksh of it."
-Ashyin- "Are you still drunk?"
-Ship's Captain- "Ju betcha. Juma Juice all da way! Hehehe."
*First-mate Ashyin looks at the gutted, half disassembled, shorted out console. The captain'd spilt one of his drinks on take-off and fried half the cockpit. Luckily, the other half still worked and Ashyin was able to get the ship into hyperspace for their delivery. Though, with the captain always hammered; it made smuggling for the Exchange easy without him noticing. Unfortunately, he makes flying highly dangerous and nerve-racking*
-Ashyin- "Just follow the other tankers in. We shouldn't have any problems even with silent running. Maybe a flyby. We're not important, and we've done this run thousands of times. Just try not to fry anymore parts! I don't know how we're going to replace our communications array."
*Ashyin watches out the viewport awhile more where out of the corner he can barely make out the smashed com-array. It was mere luck that the collision wasn't worse. But with a drunk pilot and captain in charge, there were those risks. He jogs back to tinker with the engine so more*

*Three military-spec shuttles make their way from a Republic hangar in Citadel Station with little fuss created. Rather than head out to orbit as one might expect, they stay in low orbit and travel towards the polar north of Telos. On board two of the shuttles, Republic Commander Fyodor and TSF Lieutenant Grenn are discussing tactics for the execution of Executive Order 11-38. One thing that comes up is a need for air support, so a squadron of Aurek fighters is quietly despatched from the fleet group to accompany the trio of shuttles to the polar regions. As they near their destination, the Aureks shoot some way ahead to prevent any ships from leaving the group's target: The Jedi Academy.*

(Full post aboard the Sojourn found here)*The Sojourn vibrates as it shifts out of hyperspace and into normal space-time. On the front viewer Carth could see a tiny orange globe hanging in the darkness of space. His homeworld. It was here that his life had changed so abruptly. It was here that his once friend and mentor Saul Karath had turned on the Republic and destroyed everything he held dear. Not only was the planet decimated, but both his wife and young son had been cruelly snatched away from him. Seeing his homeworld revived these memories and associated wounds that never fully healed. Carth swallows hard, knowing that he could not afford to be distracted now. Lives were counting on him. The Jedi were counting on him.*"Report, Captain?"There's an entire Republic battlefleet out there, Captain. General Rhylla's Exultant commanding. They seem to be holding in a grid formation over the Polar region."*Carth's heart sinks. The Jedi Academy was in the polar region. They were too late, the raid must have already began.*"Try to get a channel through to the Academy, use the codes Master Vandar gave us.""No luck, sir. It's not getting through. No jamming signals detected, the equipment must have been severed on their end."*Carth sighs, there had to be someway of getting in touch with them. And then it hits him. The Jedi weren't the only friends he had on Telos. Carth walks over to the comm station where the Mon Calamari captain was doing her best to get through to the Jedi. He types a series of numbers and dashes into the comm system relay.*"Use this code to open a secure channel up to TSF. Time to call in a favor." (Continued here)

Continued from here.* Lee taps the comm button to send a message to the lone Republic ship, unknown to him that it was the ship of Carth Onasi. He would have to choose his wording carefully, but it was a shot Lee felt he needed to take. He made no attempt to hide or change his voice. Anyone familiar with him might recognize the voice instinctively.* ::This is the vessel Arkanian Breeze under the command of Adasca requesting aid from a Carth Onasi.::*Also unknown to Lee was the fact that Carth was familiar with not only Arkanians but House Adasca as well, but that was when Adascorp was under Arloh's brother, Arkoh. Lee was simply trying to maintain cover while, at the same time, trying to poke around to see just what about this lone Republic vessel was familiar to him and why it was here. With any luck, they could have stumbled across an ally. Requesting Carth personally was also Lee's chance to see what kind of reaction he'd get. Carth's ties to the Jedi were very known.*

*Lee's facial expression said it all to any who could see it. He was quite relieved to hear the voice of Carth Onasi. Even if he didn't identify himself as such, Lee knew the voice.*
::We have injured aboard our vessel and our ship is ill equipped to treat them. Seems one of our passengers smuggled a weapon from the Katarn weapon industry and the injury is pretty severe. We have the victims stablized, but it's not like we have a Jedi healer aboard to fix things. Requesting permission to transfer them. Koorv Ramal out.::
*Lee considered Carth an intellegent man. Hopefully he'd catch the play on the name he did. Even Lee knew that Carth would have to be familiar with Vrook Lamar. He was wary to directly give out his or anyone else's name just yet and he'd want to speak with Carth face to face.*

*The Sojourn had been keeping close watch on the Republic fleet as well as the activity in the polar region from their somewhat secure position peeking out from just behind the Telosian moon. When the Exultant suddenly breaks from its holding pattern that gives everything away.*
*The Sojourn comes out of hiding ready for a fight. Their shields are up, and their weapons are charged. On the bridge Captain Carth Onasi hopes that it doesn't come down to using them. But the Jedi coming up from the polar region in that shuttle were the most important thing in the galaxy at this particular moment, and he wasn't about to just let the Republic trample all over the men and women that risked their lives to protect the galaxy. Not today.*

*The TSF shuttle carrying the escaping Jedi rises up from the polar region and into the Telos orbit. Behind the controls is a very uneasy Serra Keto and Birk Snowshadow. The entire shuttle is ringed with Aurek strikefighters watching their every move.*
"How are those scans coming? You find Onasi's ship yet?"
*Serra's voice cracks midway through her questions. She was obviously nervous, and her knuckles were white from holding the throttle control so tightly. She forces herself to breath, calling upon her Padawan training of calming meditation. It wasn't working. She was still scared out of her mind. If only Alex was here. Or Lee. Or hell, she'd even take Astefan right now. Just ANYONE that could pilot a ship worth a damn and know what to do in this forceforsaken mess of a situation. Serra was the epitome of a Jedi Guardian. She was good at killing things. With blades. That is what she did. That was her specialty. Not this. This... this was suicide.*

the droid whistles excitedly, and this time stesha turns and conks it on the head.
"one beep 'yes', two beeps 'no'."
ee-5 makes a despondent whirring sound then gives a single beep.
"that's better. now, analog clock face, z axis then y axis, what's the location relative to us?"
again a long string of whistles and beeps but stesha listens intently. once it finishes, the girl leans forward to look out the viewport. sighing and without looking back at it, stesha chastises the droid.
"that's a moon you stupid clank. well, apparently he thinks there's something near that moon unless your friend has a moon-sized battlestation. pft. he could probly tell us more, but I've only learned numbers in droid."

*The droid beeps an affirmative single beep indicating that he spotted a ship that stood out in some way, shape, or form. When the young girl gives the specifics on the ship's location near the moon Serra immediately pulls up the active sensors on her console, and scans the region described. Sure enough a blue blip indicating a Republic vessel appears on the screens.*
"That's no moon, it's a spaceship."
*Locking onto the vessel she runs a preliminary transponder sweep. It takes a moment, but the readout soon comes out over her console screen.*
"The vessel is reading as the Sojourn! I don't believe it, that little droid did it!"
*Serra couldn't risk opening up a channel to the Sojourn, any non-scrambled transmission would be picked up by the Aurek Strikefighter squadron escorting them as well as the ever-encroaching Republic capital ship. And with no one aboard knowing how to scramble a channel to any degree of certainty, their best bet was the one they formulated on the way up to orbit.*
"Get the droid ready to jam the comms. Hopefully that'll catch them off guard and give us enough time to reach the Sojourn."
*Serra tightens her grip on the thruster controls, ready to ramp up the shuttle's acceleration in a hopefully-not-as-vain-as-it-sounded attempt to escape their fighter squadron escort as soon as the droid did its thing.*

stesha still doesn't see the ship that serra is talking about, but has to trust that the sensors do indeed have the right one.
"k just be ready to go when you hear it."
'hear it' was not a phrase normally thrown around when talking about jamming signals, but the girl gives no further explaination. she crouches down next to ee-5.
"ok buddy, you remember all the wavelengths. if you can, try not to affect us or the ship you pointed out."
with that, the droid beeps once and his connector arm spins madly in the socket. to anyone in the vicinity listening to the comms or any comm unit on speaker, a piercing sound like audio feedback slices through the link followed by a very complex white noise that makes all other sounds seem like they're coming from the bottom of a bog. the spike was not meant to be electrical but biological in its effect so as to bypass safeties against jamming.

*Having been monitoring the comm channels to know when to make the break for the Sojourn Serra winces the instant the loud whine pierces through the miscellaneous chatter. She quickly pounds the button to turn it off.*
"Here we go, hold on!"
She calls back to all the Jedi aboard. Serra throws the thruster control forward and pulls hard on the vector control yoke, bringing the shuttle into a sharp turn as it accelerates toward the Sojourn's position near the second moon.*

"Two minutes until intercept, General. Tractor beam standing by."
*General Rhylla nods to Captain Kuui's update. The captive Jedi were nearly aboard and would soon be transported to Coruscant for questioning. But suddenly a ear-piercing screech comes over the comm and Rhylla shoots her hands over her ears in an attempt to block off the wail.*
"What the hell? Shut that damned thing off!"
*It takes a few seconds but finally one of the bridge crew manages to deduce the source of the wail and switch it off, casting the bridge of the Exultant into relative silence.*
"What was that?"
"The comm system, General. Some sort of feedback pulse."
"Source?"
*The Iktotchi Captain studies a few tactical displays before responding.*
"It was the shuttle, sir. They're making a run for it."
"Can we get a lock on them with the tractor beam?"
"Still out of range, General."
"Helm, increase speed. They're not getting away this time. Can we get in touch with the escort squadron?"
"Negative General. All subspace bands have been affected by the pulse."
"Well then let's hope Lieutenant Darklighter knows what he's doing."
________________________________________________________________________________
*The Aurek Strikefighter squadron escorting the TSF shuttle, that was supposedly carrying the Jedi prisoners from the surface, was caught off guard by the sudden screech from their squadron commlink. Even though Lieutenant Arlen Darklighter managed to silence the screech relatively quickly, he still could feel the throbbing phantom ring in his inner ear even as he watched the shuttle he was escorting accelerate hard to starboard and take off.*
"Blue Leader to Blue Two. You read me? Blue Seven? Anyone? Blast it, the whole damn link is down."
*Muttering under his breath a few choice curses, Darklighter ramps up his stardrive and shoots off after the shuttle as quick as his Aurek can take him. He disengages the safety and fires a pair of warning shots across the shuttle's bow. Craning his neck around he could see that two more from his squadron had followed him after the shuttle. He turns his attention back to the shuttle.*
"Don't make me fire on you, Jedi. I really don't want to write that report."

Birk had just nearly gotten his lips puckered up to ask Stesha what it was they should be listening for when the squeal jumped out from the speakers of the comm system. Birk winced in pain and placed a hand up onto the nearest speaker to try and block as much of the sound as he could. The sound was mechanical. the sound was technology. Two things that Birk didn't exactly enjoy. Luckily for Birk, the jedi pilot he was assisting was quick to switch off the comms system, ceasing the horrific deafening tones that even now seemed to continue to ring in Birks ears. Birk moved his head from side to side, cracking his neck in the process.
well now... that was interesting
Birk felt himself sink a bit into his seat as the Jedi pilot took action, steering the shuttle into a new direction rather suddenly. Birk glanced back down to the screen he was using to monitor vehicle systems and the shields and back up through the windows that lead to space... and possibly salvation aboard the ship they were now heading toward.
"Man... i've got a bad feeling about this...."
No more than a second passed afterwards and shots of plasma passed by the ship.
am i really ready for this?
Birk glanced back at Stesha, hen into the cabin area where everyne he had met on Telos was currently sitting. His eyes fell on Azra and Birks smile returned to his face. With it, came renewed determination.
another chance to make up for mistakes of the past... i won't let this one slip by
Birk looked back to Stesha and winked and his young friend
"Thanks hun... That was great!"
Birk then focused his attention back to his task at hand. He began to flip a few switches as he studied the screen in front of him.
"Sure hope you've done this before Master... gonna be one hell of a ride. I am switching off emergency lighting to strengthen our power to the engines just a tad and transferring 95 percent of shield power to the rear of the ship... Looks like that is where the attacks will come from"

*The Sojourn had already been moving toward the TSF shuttle when all hell broke loose. As Captain Carth Onasi stood on the small bridge of his cruiser, he watched the tactical display flash brightly as the several blips on the screen suddenly swerved in multiple directions. Just to the Captain's right the comms officer was ripping his headset off his head and tossed it on top of his control pannel. Something was up.*
"What's going on out there?"
*The comm officer was the first to reply.*
"The shuttle is scrambling all communications, Captain. I can't make out a thing."
*Carth gave a small smile, even as prisoners in a relatively unarmed shuttle the Jedi were never helpless.*
"The shuttle is fleeing, they're headed straight for us, sir. Several Aureks are in pursuit."
*Carth nods to his Mon Calamari second-in-command."
"Well, let's give the Jedi a hand, Alluah. Ready all ion batteries to fire on my mark."
"We've got another problem sir. The Exultant is closing fast."
*Crap, Carth thought. The Exultant was among the most advanced ships in the service - more than a match for the Sojourn. And from what Carth knew about its commanding officer, General Rhylla, they would be in for a fight. While brilliant in distracting the Aurek's and giving the shuttle a running chance, the fact that the comm systems were now down made the problem of the encroaching Exultant much worse. He couldn't talk to Rhylla or reason with her now. Not that she would probably listen to a branded traitor, but still - it was always worth a shot. Now, however, he would have to meet her with laser fire. And while Carth disagreed with the Chancellor's order... firing on another Republic ship was something he was not prepared to do.*
"Keep the ion batteries standing by."
"I hope you know what you're doing, sir."
*In all his many years of service with Captain Alluah, this was the first time she had ever vocally questioned his orders on the bridge. Carth glanced over at his first officer, she looked nervous. And rightly so. If things went sour here, they really would be traitors - not just in name but by action too.*
"So do I, Alluah."

even though she should have been prepared for it, the sudden jolt of acceleration causes stesha to fall back onto her rump next to ee-5, though she does catch herself from tumbling further back out of the cockpit by grabbing onto the droid. scooting around, she puts her back to the back of birk's seat and ee-5 between her and the door to the rest of the shuttle. if she could see him, stesha would have scowled at birk for calling her 'hun', but since he couldn't see her either, she allows herself a little smile of pride.

"Crap... I hope you've got those shields up, kid. We're gonna need them."
*Serra could see on the local display that the distance between their shuttle and the Sojourn was decreasing rapidly. They'd be there in less than a minute. They just needed to stay intact for that long.*
