They had long past left the realm of hugging and were now for a lack of a better word, cuddling, on the couch in the lounge of the 'Silver'.
Jefardi was content.
His contentment and happiness was showing with his silver skin.
He was quite comfortable and didn't want to move at all, and more then anything else, he wanted to sleep. But at the same time he really didn't want to move. Or to have Ajay to move for that matter.
Leaning back against the couch with Ajay, he spoke quietly, "is it just me or is sorta late now? Cause I'm rather sleepy".
While he tried to say it causally, it was quite clear that he was fishing for something, at least the nervousness in his voice betrayed him.

Ajjiaka lifted her head off his chest quickly and looked at him, surprised. Blood rushed to her face and her cheeks felt warm. She cleared her throat.
”I… um… wh…what do you mean?”
She wasn’t sure what he was trying to say. Was he trying to go to… her room? Oh no… no no no… Her heart was racing now. Ok… ok… calm calm… Maybe that’s not what he meant. Even if it was she could pretend she hadn’t caught on…yea... that’s what she’d do.
She swallowed.
”I’m quite comfortable here… I mean… I could fall asleep here…. We don’t have to go anywhere.”

Jefardi cocked his head in puzzlement at the reason that Ajay was starting to become flustered and flush. Had he said something wrong?
"Erm, I was trying to ask if you would be okay sleeping right here, I'm really comfortable here, and even more so because you are here. I just sorta...wanted to make sure you were okay with it and comfortable.... I didn't want to like, upset you or anything.....did I?" he asked, at the end, the question took a bit more of a nervous tone to it, his skin staying silver. He really hoped he hadn't just scared her off.

”Oh.”
Ajjiaka sighed with relief. She smiled and snuggled back up against him. She was so glad she had over reacted.
”Sorry, this is perfect. And... no, I’m not upset.”
Her eyes closed gently snuggling her head on his chest. She sighed a little; she still wanted some more alcohol. He had commented on her drinking earlier, and she didn’t want to look bad in his eyes. He was 19. Not the youngest in his family… but still… young. She had to admit… she was really glad he wasn’t substantially older than her. He acted a bit older than he was, but she figured that was just from the way he was raised.

Jefardi was really glad he hadn't done anything to upset her, he really didn't want to do that.
As Ajay snuggled up against, he could stop wondering, possibly from just the flash of fear he had felt from possibly scaring Ajay away with what he had said. Asking quietly mostly because he really wanted to know, and partly because he didn't want to repeat the same mistake, or whatever he had done wrong, he said,
"So..why did you get all flustered? I wasn't alluding to anything other then this.....did I have some double meaning in my words unintentionally? Basic still isn't my first language even if I have been speaking it since I was eight."

Ajay looked at him, cheeks slightly getting pink, but not to the extent they had before.
”I uh…thought you were…”
She thought hard for a moment.
”It’s really not important. What’s important is that you are happy and fully healed.”
She traced her fingers gently over his hand, grasping his fingers gently with hers. She lifted his hand gently, placing her palm on his, as if comparing her hand to his. Slowly she offset her fingers and intertwined them with his. She closed her eyes.
thump, thump
She listened to his heartbeat, hoping her answer that wasn’t really an answer, would work.

As Ajay blushed, Jefardi decided he might as well stop, it was probably something embarrassing.
Ajay intertwined her fingers with Jefardi's fingers, causing him to grin like a big idiot, and he did the same with the other hand.
Closing his eyes, he quietly murumered, not quite sure if he was speaking basic or Firrerrese, he said,
"Okay then, well, I'm sorta exhausted, goodnight..." he said as he nodded off, his head leaning onto Ajay's, as he drifted off to sleep.

Ajjiaka smiled and whispered.
”Good night.”
It took her a little while, but she finally fell asleep.
Ajay awoke, looking around, not moving. At first, she couldn’t remember what she was doing there.
She squirmed out of Jefardi’s arms and stretched. Her body ached a little from sleeping on the couch. She stood and looked over her shoulder at Jefardi. It had not been a dream. She smiled gently. It was weird though, having someone else on her ship. She walked to the med bay, corking up the bottle of wine that she had left in there. She took it to the cargo hold putting it away. She put the liquor bottle away as well and made a couple plates of breakfast. She poured two cups of bantha milk, wondering if he had ever had it. Setting the cups on the edge of each plate she carried the two plates over to the lounge. She set the plates down and walked into the cockpit to check on Silver, checked all of the stats twice, making sure everything was running smoothly. Then she walked back into the lounge and sat down on the couch beginning to munch on her breakfast.

"Running, running, never going to find them, you failure of a living creature" said the shadow to Jefardi
"That's not true!" Jefardi, his voice, tiny child-like, as the shadow advanced on him, cutting down everything he knew.
It was going to get him. It always gets him in the end and it never. Stops. Coming. After. Him.
Jefardi woke up with a gasp from his dream, startling a rather beautiful looking woman, with long blond hair, who was eating next to him.
Where was he?
Looking around, he thought, it looks familiar in here....wait where is my ship?
Then memories of the previous day came flooding back.
He had been knocked onto this ship by some dam fool flying a lower flying freighter on Nar Shaddaa.
This beautiful woman... yes, now he remembers, her name is Ajjiaka Thundder, or Ajay. She had rescued him from a pretty much certain death... and he had... sworn a debt to her. She didn't know that most likely, he thought, probably thought I was half-delirious, which I was.
He had then somehow had gotten to this couch from the medbay..
Oh...
She had broken down and he had comforted Ajay, and somehow they stayed like that, and ended up...sleeping together, in each others arms on that couch. He had just spent a entire night with a rather attractive woman. As he remember it, he started to blush but then repressed it. The best part was that it had been really nice, he had felt....or rather he hadn't felt fear of being stabbed in the face, the first time since Coruscant. Ah happiness, he thought, apparently you do exist somewhere.
Need to center myself, he thought.
Breathing in and out slowly, his skin turned to almost blinding golden colour. When he opened his eyes, the colour went back to a fairly human look colour, with a rather heavy golden hue.
And now Ajay was staring at him.
"Uh.....good morning?" was all Jefardi could get out, as he looked at her.

Ajjiaka smiled at him.
”Good morning... how did you sleep?”
She reached a hand over, touching his cheek gently. She was making a rather daring move, even for her. And it was rather out of character. But with what happened last night, and the dream she had (as she was separating dream from reality in her mind), she didn’t think it would be too harmful. In fact, she hadn’t really thought about it when she had done it. She followed his jaw line with her finger, and then withdrew her hand to grab the glass of blueish liquid she lifted it to her lips, taking a sip. She took a bite of a biscuit and glanced over at him.

As Ajay ran her hand across his cheek, his skin went silver in about five seconds. So much for centering one's self he thought. That's not to say he didn't like it, he liked it a lot.
"I slept....well...about how well I usually sleep. How did you sleep?"
Still half awake, he asked, although it probably was a bit out of place.
"Okay I have to ask......am I dreaming? I feel like I was hit by a moon, but at the same time I feel....oddly....good? See I'm not even making sense. Nevermind, I'm rambling," stopping his long rhetorical question, he shook his head a few times, "okay I'm awake"
Looking around, he barely moved his head before his stomach growled loudly. Seeing food infront of him, he assumed it was for him, but he couldn't be sure,
"Ajay, is this for me?" he asked indicating the food that was in front of him.

Ajjiaka laughed a little.
”You’re not dreaming, unless I am too and of course it’s for you. I’m not going to eat both plates of food.”
She finished the biscuit she had been eating.
”I got you some Bantha milk. I wasn’t sure if you’d ever had it, so figured you should try it. It’s from my home planet.”
She took another sip of hers and looked over at him waiting for him to try some. She hadn’t ever felt quite like this before. It was certainly a new feeling. She was happy. She wondered what they would do for the remainder of the time that it would take to get to Kashyyyk.

Jefardi's first reaction, was an immediate one, in which he grabbed the plate, ate all the food in a single bite, and then yelled MOREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Except that was not what happened, as that would be incredibly rude.
Picking up the plate, he started to eat at acceptable pace. In between bites, he decided taste the blue milk, it wasn't all that bad.
"Not bad....so tell me about your home planet, Tatooine I think you called it."

Ajjiaka looked thoughtful.
”Tatooine is an acquired taste. It’s a planet entirely made of sand and rock. It’s hot and two suns beat down on the surface of the planet. Not much to tell. I don’t think anyone loves the planet the way that I do.”
She finished her meal and looked at him, taking his hand in hers. She thought about yesterday and the reason they were going to Kashyyyk.
”Jefardi… I have to tell you something if you want to continue going to Kashyyyk with me and you plan on hanging around with me after we get there.”
She took a deep breath. It was terrifying, having to tell him, but he needed to know for his own safety, or at least so that he knew that his life would be in danger.

Kashyyyk he thought, as he finished up his breakfast...oh right they were going there on Ajay's ship.
"Hey can I use your ship's comm for a second? I need to get my ship on autopilot there, and hope to the voids that it has been torn apart by scavangers." he asked, concerned, "I really hope they haven't done that yet, that place was my home for the last nearly eight months."

A frown creased at her eyebrows and she released his hand.
”Yea… go ahead.”
She got up to follow him, deciding to just tell him on the way.
”Well you remember how I said I had unfinished business?”

"Ya, I remember you said that...sorta....I was mostly half delirious until I ate some food in the cargo hold." he said hurridely as they moe to the ship's commlink in a side room near the cockpit.
Getting on to it he then rang up his ship, and....and... it was...perfectly fine. Although there had been a few attempts by some random vagrants to get into it,the security measures repulsed them.
Happy as voids that his ship was perfectly fine, he gave the autopilot the coordinates to Kashyyyk. He looked at the projected time, it would leave Nar Shaddaa in a few days, so they would arrive at the same time at Kashyyyk.
Turning around to face Ajay, who had been holding his hand the entire time, he said,
"Okay, one crisis solved, you were saying something about unfinished business weren't you? I'm all ears now, that is the right slang yes?"

”Um… yes.”
She nodded and looked into his eyes.
”Well…. Um. Well… an you know how you asked me what I was doing on Nar Shaddaa… and I said I was picking up some supplies…”
Ajjiaka looked at him nervously, chewing on her bottom lip.
”I don’t exactly make my living in a…. legal… way.”
She cast her eyes downward, speaking very quietly.
”I need to go to Kashyyyk to ask a man about a job smuggling spices into the Wheel, I’m not sure if I’m going to take the job or not.”
She hoped he wouldn't hate her for this. He seemed like the kind of guy that didn't associate with people like her. She didn't make eye contact when she said this. Her doubt came rushing in. she probably shouldn't have even told him.

Jefardi's head tilts in a rather puzzled way,
"Spice?"
Clearly he didn't understand that Ajay meant the slang name for Glitterstim.
"What was so wrong with spice? The only thing I can figure out is that you are dodging, like some kind of tariff, but I don't remember there being a tariff on seasoning spices, oh well I don't have the best memory sometimes."
Was that it? he asked himself, she was making a really big deal over it.
"For a second there you had me worried, like you were doing something horribly illegal or something, but dodging tariffs on food seasoning isn't that bad."

Ajjiaka closed her eyes and shook her head, holding his hand tighter.
”No… not seasoning. I’m talking about… a case of... Giggledust… Glitterstim…and Pyrepenol…. Probably. I mean… that’s what he had me transport last time.”
She gulped, closing her eyes tightly, preparing herself for him to tell her he was leaving, that he never wanted to see her again, that she disgusted him. He was the kind of guy that would never be seen with someone like her. How was this going to end? What was he going to say? She felt sick as her head spun.

His hand, which had been pleasantly gripping Ajay's, went slack.
Jefardi's skin had been slowly going back to its golden hue after she had felt his cheek, and had spiked a little silver when she had grabbed his hand. However given the time it took to contact his ship, and convince his ship's computer that it was really him, it had gone all the way back to what Jefardi considered to be a normal hue, a nice golden hue.
In about half a second he went from a nice warm golden colour, to a unnatural Silver, almost so white it seemed like his skin had no colour what so ever, that all pigmentation from it was gone.
His mind literally couldn't take it in, this nice, beautiful, young woman, the only who had given him a kindness in only the voids know how long, was involved with illegal drugs? This can't be right as he thought to himself.
He felt sick.
His skin reverse directions, going from its current albino white to a golden bright hue, so bright and deep in colour, it seemed like he was living gold given form in a humanoid body.
With his head lowered only a single word came to mind, he could only think of a single thing to say and he said, his voice low, the fun and sincerity of it his typical tones he was growing accustom to using around Ajay gone, his voice, almost without any discernable emotion,
"Why?"

”I… I’m sorry Jefardi… Jefardi please… please don’t hate me…. It was the only way I could make money when I was without a father. I got taken onto this path because I was sweet, because I looked innocent. They convinced me they needed me. They gave me money so I could eat…. I was only 15. I hadn’t really fully grasped the fact that what I was doing was wrong. Ever since then I’ve been stuck doint it.”
A couple of tears streamed down her face as Ajjiaka imagined losing his company. Losing… him. She shouldn’t care but she did. She’d never known anyone like Jefardi he was… different than the others. She grabbed his hands and looked into his eyes. Anyone who looked at her could tell she was scared, upset, and that she was being honest. His skin tone changes had been terrifying with her previous knowledge of the reason behind it. while she wasn't sobbing like the night before she was scared and worried and sad which did result in tears. Scared was maybe to gentle of a word, she was petrified.

He didn't react to her grabbing his hands, nor did he react immediately to her words.
Thoughts were formed and led to ideas, ideas led to thoughts....
Jefardi got lost in the workings of his own mind instead of having to deal with reality.
Finally he was forced to deal with it.
His skin was still the same hue, it was actually unworldly, the sheer golden hue of it.
He spoke the words with the same deadpan and expression as he had before, with perhaps a touch of a bit more emotion,
"Why haven't you stopped yet? You have a ship don't you? A ship bought with drug money, but a ship regardless. Why didn't you just leave?"

”I can’t quit that easily. I know things. Too much. They’d kill me. They know things about me. They know where I’d go, and they have bounty hunters to prove that.”
Ajjiaka looked up at him, tears still occasionally streaming down her gentle and smooth face.
”Jefardi… If I left… I wouldn’t have met you.”
She added in a whisper, almost too quiet to hear.

Jefardi's features softened as he heard her teary eyed response.
"Do I mean all that much to you?" he asked genuinely touched, and mild disbelief in his tone.
He asked in a lot softer voice then, "Do you want out then?"
