Ajjiaka chuckled along with him. There truly was nothing like a good laugh to bring two strangers together. It was funny to think of, a rainbow man, more or less. She smiled still, trying not to laugh as she took another drink, then started gulping down the rest of the cup. If Jefardi had paid attention, he might have noticed that throughout the conversation and ever since she got the wine, each drink she took had gotten bigger. First a sip, then a swig, then a gulp…
”Well, I suppose then I’ll know when you’re pissed off at me.”
She looked at him, lying on his back and grinned as he asked for help.
”You better hurry up that healing process. I can’t carry you around everywhere. Here here…”
She lifted his shoulder, wedging an arm under him and hauled him back up to a sitting position.

"Thanks" Jefardi said, as Ajay helped him sit up.
Chuckling to himself about what she had said about anger, "Hmm maybe my example was a bit off." Taking a moment to think of a different way to explain it, "It doesn't just apply to anger, its emotion neutral. For instance, if I was to feel intense joy, or love, my skin would take the silver colour. But if I wasn't feeling intense emotions at all, or just very little in the ways of emotion I have a ridiculously golden colour skin. I guess its more of indicator of my current emotional level in the sense, how stuck I am in them."
"The reason I use anger for example is because its a rather easy emotion for most people to understand. Although.....heh.....it would be funny if you thought that and walked around my homeworld, you would probably think we are all a bunch of angry aliens or something."
"The healing isn't something I can control, more like its a natural trait of mine, or the my entire species. Usually it wouldn't of taken anywhere near as long, but it was a rather large number of wounds, broken bones, penetrations, lacerations, and a ruptured spleen. If I was shot, but it wasn't vital I would be fine...in like a few minutes, tops."
In retrospect, he should of finished healing a few minutes ago, especially given he was in a comfortable place, and had been given painkillers.
"It also probably doesn't help that I haven't eaten properly in such a long time, instant meals don't do well for the body do they?" he asked, mostly musing to himself
He looked around, and scooted himself to the nearest wall to lean against, and then took inventory of his injuries. Running his fingers over his back, where the shirt had holes in it, the skin was almost entirely healed. There would be scars, but minor ones. Gingerly he ran his had over his lower torso, where his spleen was. It hurt like bloody void, but it wasn't causing additional pain at least it wasn't causing more pain compared to before. It had healed mostly.
"Actually I think I'm mostly done healing, lets see if I can stand at any rate." Reaching for his staff, he was able to pull himself up.
This isn't so bad, he thought to himself.
His first step said otherwise, causing him to stagger forwards. However he was able to catch himself, the staff helped a lot.
"As long as we walk slow, I can do this....I think."

Ajjiaka listened intently as he explained the skin tone change a bit more. She nodded, finally understanding. She grinned at him.
”I’ll still be able to assume when you’re super pissed at me.”
He explained about his healing process and she understood. She got up and supported him a bit. Grabbing his hand she pulled a tiny bit, but not enough to knock him over.
”Come on, I don’t have luxurious food but I do have some food. Then, you should probably get some rest. Kashyyyk is pretty far away so it’ll take a bit to get there. I’ll help you to the bunk room where you’ll be staying. On the opposite side of the ship, down the same hallway, is my room, if you need me. But, let’s go get that food first. The cargo hold isn’t far away at all and you can sit on a box in there while I get food ready.”
She led him down the hallway to the cargo hold, then gestured to a box for him to sit. Around in the cargo hold it looked organized but there was a lot of stuff. Weapons, boxes of clothing bins with things, food storage, crates and such, a strong box or two. Her whole life was on this ship, and it became clear when you looked in the cargo hold.

"Alright, just don't assume if I win the lottery that I'm beyond angry at you" he said chuckling at it.
Sitting down on the box she indicated to, he started to look around the room.
There was a lot of stuff here, a LOT, and the impressive bit of it, was that it was all neatly organized.
Casting an eye over the load of stuff that seemed to populate the room, as Ajay had gone to get food for him, she is very thoughtful, he thought to himself.
Spying a storage locker, no scratch that, he thought, that isn't a storage locker, that's a weapons locker.
Interesting.
The cargo hold also made it somewhat obvious that Ajay didn't have much in the way of social callings. The fact that he was sitting on box was proof of that alone. Not to say that she didn't have social skills, but it was highly possible that very few people actually saw the inside of her ship. The lack of table or chairs, meant she probably spent the vast amount of her time in the cockpit. There was a good chance, he thought, that other rooms that weren't as well used, since this cargo hold most likely held the vast majority of her stuff, were covered in dust. Unless she dusted them or something.
His eyes finally settled onto something, a large slug-thrower rifle.
My people could probably make something like that.
Gesturing towards it, he asked Ajay, "where did you get that thing if i may ask? It looks like its from the Outer Rim."

Ajjiaka looked back as he mentioned her Tusken Cycler Rifle. She frowned, returning with a bit of food for Jefardi.
”That ol’ thing? It’s just a Tusken rifle from the Judland Wastes. I traded for it back at home on Tatooine. Traded a few wraid skulls and some meat.
She looked around, pulling up a container for him to use as a table.
”I’m really sorry that I don’t have a better eating facility. When I usually eat its honestly in the main part of the ship or the cockpit. I don’t usually…. Entertain.”
She spoke, unknowingly confirming his thoughts.

Waiting for Ajay to join him in front of a makeshift dining table, when she didn't pull up a box, he shrugged, said a quick Firrerreon blessing and then devoured all the food in less then a minute.
"Well, that was tasty" said Jefardi, stating the obvious. Sighing with some contentment, as his stomach had just consumed real food, not frozen instanta meal ready stuff.
"So why is that?" he asked, "Why don't you usually have anyone over? I mean its obvious that you are rather kind and nice person, so that has to be a reason."

Ajjiaka sighed.
”When you work the way I do… you just…. Don’t have guests over.”
But having you here has been great so far.
Her mind added. She smiled at him, and then walked over to the food storage, taking a bottle of liquor from the drink container. She opened it and took a sip, setting it on the top of the container as she went through the food, looking for something quick and easy to snack on. She reached out and took the bottle, taking another sip and grinned pulling some crackers out.
”Perfect.”
She took out a cracker and munched on it happily, returning to Jefardi’s side at the makeshift table.
”I’m glad you think I’m nice. I would never want to be seen as bitchy or rude.”
She gazed over at the rifle, taking another sip of the random liquor she had picked out. Her thoughts wandered back to home. Tatooine. Home…the warmth, the sand… the suns….She sighed and wandered over to the rifle. Her thoughts fell onto her father. A deeply saddened expression crossed her face; her eyes almost seemed to glaze over. She took another sip. How she missed her father. They were two of a kind. Hunting, selling, trading, bartering, why if it wasn’t for him, Ajjiaka would never be as successful as she was. She took another sip, eyes beginning to water. The hunting together… Had she been more revengeful, she would have followed through with her plan to take one of the Tusken’s own weapons to kill them. She bit her bottom lip and set the drink down. She shouldn’t drink while upset. She looked at Jefardi, then down at the ground. What would she say to him? What could she say? If she had been his species… she would surely be sliver, she thought momentarily. She clutched the crackers and returned to the makeshift table, pulling up a box, she sat with him munching on the crackers. She thought of her father’s face, handsome, strong, with thick brown hair and a great smile. Her father… the greatest man in the galaxy. How his life was so quickly ended by the ruthless Tusken Raiders. She avoided eye contact with Jefardi.

"I won't pry further, we all do what we have to do to get by." he said after she half explained about not having any guests over.
He watched as Ajay went to get something for herself to eat, and then...more alcohol? She had been drinking a lot of alcohol ever since Jefardi had woken up, whether because her blood was secretly made out of alcohol he didn't know as he mused.
Then when she sat down, he noticed that she was awfully quiet and couldn't help but to stare at the Slugthrower, a Tusken-something-or-another.
She kept looking at the ground and the rifle and then back at himself, but avoided eye contact. Even with out the Force, it was fairly certain that something was wrong.
Searching for something to say, as the quietness contiuned, he finally settled on what he thought was a rather lame, but indirect question,
"Hey Ajay, why do drink so much?"

Looking up at him when he asked why she drank so much a strange whining sound came from her mouth as her lip quivered. Her head hit the table and she started to sob and try to talk at the same time.
”I just…. Don’t…. have people…..over….so much….and and i….i….”
She gasped for air as tears streamed down her face. Perhaps the alcohol had a little bit to do with her crying… since she had chosen a couple different strong drinks. In truth she had no idea why she was drinking so much, but she was anxious to make a decent impression on Jefardi, and the alcohol helped relax her. On the down side… now she was crying on his makeshift dinner table after he simply asked an innocent question about the weapon he saw.
Pathetic… I’m so pathetic. This is pathetic… I’m supposed to be helping him, not the other way around.
She sobbed harder.
”I’m….. so…. Pathetic….

"You're not pathetic" Jefardi said softly. As he moved over towards Ajay,
"You're not pathetic, you're literally the nicest human, Voids that, person I know in this galaxy."
Giving her a hug, he went on, in a soft gentle voice, "you want to know something? I've been mugged, shot, stabbed, poisoned, beaten," his skin changed to a silver colour as he listed all the ways attempted murder had been done on him," and just about everything that would kill a normal human, short of losing a limb. In all that time, in the last seven months I've spent traveling the galaxy, not once, not a single time has anyone shown me a kindness, not even a small one."
His skin changed colours going to a very deep gold, almost looking like purified Gold, having a warm glow almost to it.
"You are the only one who has done anything, a single dam thing, to right a single wrong. I've seen all sorts of things, but you went out of your way to save me. It would of been easy to ignore me after I hit your ship and accelerate away. But no, you" putting a great deal of stress on the word 'you', "you, Ajjaka, have been the first to show me any kindness in seven months. You are not pathetic by any means. Don't ever think that."
After he finished he gave her another gentle hug.

Ajjiaka felt the warmth of his body against hers as he gave her a hug. Gently she leaned into him, sniffling and listening as he spoke. It really sounded like he had a rough time, she had really been the only one to help him? His skin tone changed.
”Me”
She whispered. All crying had stopped. She sniffled a bit, looking up at him. He gave her a gentle hug and suddenly, she threw her arms around him, closing her eyes, her head on his chest, returning his hug. She remained like that, as she spoke sofly, a small crack in her voice.
”Thank you.”
Her arms were still latched around him. He would never know how much this meant to her.
”The rifle reminds me of my dad. He died when I was young. He was my best friend.”
She explained.

As she had latched onto him with a hug, he was startled for a second but then hugged back holding her as she spoke.
As Ajay quietly explained the rifle. It made sense sorta. It was a memento from her dad, who she seemed to have a very close relationship with. It was obvious she was still bitter about his death. Not directly at him, but just about it in general.
"If I may ask, what kind of man was he?" he asked gently, still holding Ajay gently in an embrace.

Ajjiaka thought for a moment.
”well… My dad loved me. And I loved him. He cared a lot about me. More than anyone else ever has. He taught me everything I know. He taught me to fight, to hunt, to be strong. We provided for the family. Well for ourselves and… my mother. We had so much fun hunting together. Sometimes we’d bag several wraids. He was the greatest. He was killed by a group of Tusken raiders. They use rifles like that one I have over there.”
She loosened her latch around him, but remained leaning against him with her head on his chest. For some reason she felt comfortable here. Comfortable with him. She felt like she could trust him. Granted, with her not being trusting, every little step was a big one for her.

Ajay loosened her grip on him, but kept on leaning against him. Jefardi in turn greatly loosened his hug, his arms still lightly draping across her back.
They stayed there for a moment.
Then another moment.
He wasn't going to make Ajay stop leaning on him anytime soon, it obviously felt comfortable to her, and it was pleasant to him as well.
As the silence descended, he contemplated what to do next. He honestly couldn't think of anything off the top of his head of what to do next.
He sort of wanted to ask more questions, but he honestly felt like he was pestering Ajay with questions upon questions, and that since she took him in, he might be a rude guest. It was hard to tell, since he didn't know human etiquette, or in this case what protocol on Tatooine would call for. Would it be rude to ask more questions? Would it be rude for him to say anything?
Another moment passed.
He started to softly hum a tune in his native musical Firrerrese;
"Esseat'h maonne! Tall aeste imn pae'donne. Iluren, meth ilurien! Feredain oel daommas!"
Finishing up his little tune, left the cargo hold in quiet except for the hum of the engine.

Ajjiaka smiled as she listened to him sing in his gibberish, she scooted a little closer eyes drifting shut. She listened to his heartbeat. She stayed there, in his arms, for a while.
Then her eyes flicked open. She didn’t want to make him uncomfortable.
”I’m really sorry… we... you… should get some rest. And I need to cork that bottle. Don’t want that to get spilled.”
She gestured lazily to the bottle. Even after saying this, she still didn’t move. She really hoped he wasn’t uncomfortable with this. And she really…really hoped this moment wouldn’t make the rest of the trip awkward for him. Maybe she was slightly drunk. Maybe. He’d surely understand.
”Sorry I cried. I don’t usually cry.”

Reaching over he got the bottle from the table and plugged the top of it with the cork. After corking it, he set it back down on the table.
Smiling gently, he then said,"I didn't think you did, you are a tough person, someone who has a inner strength."
Thought for a while about what he wanted to say next,
"I'll be honest I'm quite comfortable where I am, unless you of course aren't...are you?" he asked tentatively, more then a little nervous that she was going to say she was uncomfortable.

Ajjiaka couldn’t help the smile from spreading across her face.
”I’m fine here.”
She fiddled with the hem of her jacket.
”I mean the box isn’t super comfortable but I’m good”
So he was comfortable. That was good. She might fall asleep here. It was the most comfortable she had ever been around another person after her father died.

It made Jefardi happy inside, that she was fine, and it dissipated his nerves.
His skin turned a silver colour from contentment.
Then she mentioned how the box wasn't comfortable, ut-oh,
"Well where would you rather be, if not on this, um.."looking down he read off the name, "Dried Tach Glands' box? I'm more then willing to something that is slightly more comfortable."

Ajjiaka looked at him.
”Your skin’s all silvery….”
She whispered with a smile. She wiggled out of his arms and got up.
”Come on. The lounge is more comfortable.”
She led the way to the lounge, aware that he didn’t really know his way around her ship. She sat down on the bench seating and reached up, brushing her hands through her long blonde hair, casually she tied it up with a ribbon.

Getting up from the box after Ajay distangled her arms from his, he followed after her through the corridors of her ship. Eventually they reached the center of the ship, which was a lounge, with a half moon-esque couch.
"I have to say anything is better then sitting on a box of dried-tach glands, but this certainly looks far more comfortable then that" he said with a faint smile on his face.
Sitting down next to Ajay, he waited until she had finished tying her hair up with a ribbon.
Lightly drapping his arms over her shoulders, similar to the box of dried tach glands in the cargo hold, he then said with a chuckle, "well then, this certainly beats a box doesn't it?"

”Yes… it does.”
She couldn’t stop smiling. She giggled a little and snuggled against his chest again. How had this happened? Some guy had fallen onto her ship, now she was sitting on the couch with him. She sighed, pulling her legs up onto the couch, fully leaning against him. She lifted her head, looking into his eyes.
”Tell me more about you. I would love to know more about you… I mean… if you don’t mind of course.”

"About me?"
As Ajay snuggled in against him, he had to think, what about me?
"I don't necessarily mind, its just that, I don't know what you would find all that interesting about me. I was born to a upper middle class family who does extensive gemstone mining. I have seven siblings, two younger, five older, the oldest is Kel, who is four hundred and twenty one pf your years. The youngest is Jean who is seventeen. My planet is what you would consider low-tech. Hyper-drives were only made by the military in the last three hundred years, my eldest sister was the one that originally tested them out...."
He really couldn't think of anything that was of particular interest about him.

”Wow….so… how old are you?”
She asked curiously. Her gaze fell to his hand, shrugging she, figured it couldn’t do any harm. Nervously, she reached her hand over to his silvery one, placing hers on top. Her heart beat increased. She was nervous, she really didn't want to make him uncomfortable. Of course, they were both very comfortable where they were and at that moment. No, he had already said he was comfortable... It was fine. She calmed her nerves. Gazing back into his eyes, she spoke.
”No hyper drives? So you all were stuck on your planet until rather recently.”
”You’re happy........ aren’t you?”
She asked. She was slightly disappointed that she had left her drink in the cargo hold, and the wine in the med bay. Ajay felt tired.

"I'm....nineteen Galactic standard years old....something like that anyways", chuckling he asked a question "why did you, think I was like an ancient? For cultural comparison, We become adults in our, erm, y'know what? I'm going to go out on a limb and say you aren't going to abuse the knowledge of my species, no matter what Irene told me about not trusting outsiders. My species is called Firrerreo, or Firrerreon, it depends on who is translating. " as he spoke his musical accent really came through his speech quite heavily.
"We've had 'jumpdrives' for a few centuries, and we've been out in our star system for a thousand years or so. Its just we tend to not like leaving our home, Firrerre. The only other person I know of who is outside my starsystem that is Firrerreon, is my eldest sister, Irene...well technically thats not her name. She has a large number of names, but Irene is what our family calls her."
Jefardi sorta realized that he was droning on, and possibly putting Ajay to sleep.
During his rather long monologue he had realized that Ajay had clasped one of his hands, which made him smile.
She then asked a simple question, are you happy?
Looking into her eyes, he simply said, "this is the happiest I can remember being, in a long, long time."
As he said it there was a twinkle in his eye, a sparkle, he blinked to try and get it out of his eye, his double set of eyelids opening and closing rapidly, as he tried to get the moisture out of his eye.
"Sorry, I just got something in my eyes.."

Ajjiaka blinked.
”well… I would never, never think of abusing the knowledge of any species.”
She listened to him. They didn’t want to leave their home. That was something she could understand. She missed Tatooine so much. She missed the sand the rocks…. She missed the suns the herds of dewbacks… the swoop racing… even the jawas. She looked down, thinking of home once more. She missed hunting, crawling through the sand shooting the wraids… petting the rontos… She sighed. She hadn’t really wanted to leave… but with her father gone and nothing left for her, she had left. There was no way she would’ve let her mother control her life, and that’s why she had left. There was no way she’d let some drunk-ass order her around.
He answered her question and she smiled. It was really good to know he was happy. She giggled as he blinked his second eyelids.
”That’s ok”
His species sure had their share of quirks. It made humans look so boring.
