She doesn't know so she takes a guess. "It's a vessel for legal stuff, so probably not as much as I'd probably like."
She heads over to the holocomm room and gets to work on fixing it up so that they wouldn't get intercepted. "Usually I have my slicer buddies do this for me, but I've picked up a few tricks from them. It's just that I want to tell some people that I'm okay, but I don't want to expose them to our enemies. Oh, and you're going to have enemies if you bring me along anywhere, in case you didn't notice. And we're heading into enemy territory. Let's just say that no matter what the deal with the Kiliks ends up being, I'm not going to Alderaan for the art galleries, poetry and wine. Not to say we won't make it to some, maybe, but it's more likely we'll do some sabotage, pick some fights, spread some hope and propaganda, hopefully overthrow some would-be dictators, it'll be fun."
She's finished coding it to transmit in a cipher usually used by smugglers, one that the folks back on Corellia would know, and would know would mean they couldn't say too much. After all, loyalty was the smuggler's worst vice.
Once finished, she puts up the holocomm and calls one of her comrades on Corellia.
He seemed to get the idea that something was wrong, speaking in Basic instead of Olys Corellisi, since that would make it extremely obvious that they were in the Independence League. "Hey, sweetheart, I wasn't expecting you from this frequency."
"Yeah, Roy, sorry about the delay, ran into some trouble and couldn't make the shipment. So now I'm taking a ride to Sasahlah from Bridd. The Heron kind of blew up in a fire on Kashyyyk."
"Damn, I hear that place is pretty flammable. And you couldn't make the shipment? After all that work getting you the Czerka job? No offense, but I think you're a better leader than a spacer. Haven't met this Bridd, he the guy with you?"
She smiles and motions to Ri. "Yeah, I met him on Kashyyyk. Bridd, meet Roy. Roy, meet Bridd." She jabs him with her elbow as if to say "Play along!"

Risanith was heavily confused by the talking nonsensical hologram person and the human female who then, rudely elbowed him in the side.
"Erm...this one sends greetings to you Roy." Risanith said awkwardly.

Roy waves at Ri. "Yeah, greetings to you too and all that. Good luck putting up with my gal, she can be a real handful sometimes. You just giving her a ride, or planning on sticking it out for the good fight?"
Deanna interjects. "I've been showing him a few tricks and he helped me out of a real bind. Some bounty hunter came onto me, I think it might've been your ex. That guy was real nasty, we should probably send some charity the Wookiee's way after what that wagyx did to them. But Bridd here saved my life, even if we couldn't save the Wookiees. But once he takes me where I'm going, he's under no more obligations to stay."
Roy nods. "Well, glad to see you're safe. I'll tell the gang you're all right and try to get that hunter off your back. You think he knew who you are?"
"Yeah, called me by name. This worries me. I might have to pull something crazy to get them off me. But for now, everything holds. We can't depend on the Wookiees but things are still going as planned."
"All right, be careful. The Sith are pretty thick on Alderaan right now. Word is they've got all their leaders in and they're planning something."
She couldn't resist the chance for an old Corellian proverb. "Kas tulisha abia al port, Roy. Make sure you take advantage of chaos that comes up. Now I've got a party to crash. Ol'val."
After she shuts down the comm channel she turns to Ri. "So yeah, you're probably wondering what that's all about. He's one of the people in the Independence League with me, I just wanted to tell him that I'm all right and with you. Also: You're Bridd now. It means bird in the old tongue, since, you know, you got the beak and everything. Roy'll probably have to set you up an extra identity if you're planning on staying. But you don't have to stay."
She starts to pace. "That bounty hunter was after me because of things I've done and things that I'm planning to do. If you don't want to deal with that, it's totally optional. I would say that you could join the Jedi if you wanted to study the Force and stay out of this, but no one's able to stay out of this."
Deanna stops and looks him straight in the eye. "But you might not make it out alive, is what I'm saying. Your impressive biology can only take you so far."

RIsanith pondered what had just transpired for several minutes before responding to any of Deanna's comments.
"So lets see if this one understands this correctly. You are an ex-jedi, who is currently leading a military organization of some kind against the Sith, on what this one is guessing is Corellia. Currently you are going to Alderaan, to either one, connvince creepy bug things to join your cause. These bugs, Killiks, that try and turn people into their hive, who's mindless hive's pursuit of this, is chronicled in even my people's history as being particular visicous, to such an extent, that it is a general rule amongst our populace to never be within visual sight of one them, unless one is in outer space. After convincing them to join your cause, or if you fail you do two, which is to unleash them upon the Sith."
"Furthermore, we are currently being hunted by Bounty hunters, and no longer have the protection of Fred with us."
"Yet even more so we are going to, if memory serves, a Sith occupied planet currently on lockdown, in which your cover may or may not be blown, and possibly have every gun on the planet pointed at us when we land."
Risanith paused for a few moments, his eyes closed as he knew Deanna must be staring at him.
"Even more impressive is the fact that the Jedi or the Republic have literally no involvement with this whole debacle, especially since this one specifically remember Sith telling me that Corellia is one of the core members of the Republic, although.....a lot may of changed in 5,000 years......."
"Taking this all into account, you seem to be a fairly reasonable human. This one shall follow you, not necessarily aiding or impending until this one has made up his mind on whether or not to leave your cause or to stay with it."

Deanna shrugs in faux innocence. "Yep, that's more or less it. I am totally a reasonable human, the most reasonable human in the galaxy and all of my goals make sense, and I follow through with each of them. And besides, they're after me! They're not after you. Yet. I'll try to make sure that nothing will be pinned on you."
She knows this whole thing sounds pretty ridiculous out of context. "It's not that the Republic and the Jedi haven't tried anything. They did, and it was a miserable failure that only made things harder for us. The lesson to take from that: Don't trust the Republic, don't trust the Jedi. And that's also leaving out the fact that for some reason, the Jedi are on the run from the Republic because they didn't learn the first rule, but the Republic learned the second rule. Oh! And Alderaan's also one of the core members of the Republic! So that's even more fun!"

RIsanith considered this for a moment.
"If this one understands correctly, you are tell this one to trust no one but...you." stressing the word 'you'. "That in it of itself is rather untrustworthy, wouldn't you agree?"

She laughs. "Yes, that's EXACTLY what I mean. Except that you can't trust me. Or you can. It depends on how much you can trust yourself."
She says that as if it even means anything at all, instead of just making things more confusing.

"You confuse this one great. This one is going to keep who he is trusting to himself. How about that?" proposed Risanith. "This one trusts who he wants to trust and prefers to not to be told who to trust, or at least anything more then just advice, which you seem to be perilously close to crossing that boundary."

Deanna shakes her head. "Dammit, sorry, I was giving advice again. It's a bad habit, I need to stop it. If you find me giving advice, just tell me and I'll stop. Promise."
She took a look at the navcomputer.
"We should be somewhere around Alderaan right now, shouldn't we? Seems about right right now."

Risanith looked over at the navigation computer.
"It seems to this one, you are correct" responded the Talortai. Indeed they were nearing reversion back into subspace in about half an hour.
"We will be reverting into the system within the next forty minutes"

"All right, all right, let's get ready for a good time."
She takes out a datapad and starts programming in the credentials she got from Roy.
"My plan's only slightly changed with my ship blown up and everything. But it's still more or less the same, so let me do the talking, and we'll get planetside without any trouble, okay?"

"This one understands"
After perhaps a few minutes, the Y-8 Mining vessel reverted into the Alderaan system. A world of lush colours was presented to all present in the system. As always it made Risanith happy to see the green colours of a planet.

Deanna grinned when she saw Alderaan in the window. "Isn't she lovely? You'd never know from up here how her people are suffering. Well, maybe you can kind of guess it, from all the ships in orbit.
As if on cue, the ship received a hail.
"Unidentified vessel, this is the Avenger. Provide identification and state your business immediately or we will not hesitate to open fire."
Deanna kept on her cool face. Which as demonstrated on Kashyyyk, isn't very cool at all. Not that it mattered, since they couldn't see her face.
"This is Captain Drellik, of Czerka Corps mining vessel A-14, delivering our lode to Aldera City. We're transmitting all identification."
There was a weighted pause as the security officer checked over the forged credentials.
"Everything seems to be in order. There will be heightened security at the spaceport, due to recent events, but I'm sure your cargo will be appreciated. Enjoy your stay."
The transmission ended.
Deanna leaned back in satisfaction. "Shiny. Looks like Roy came through again. Unless this is a trap. We'll figure it out. Ready to spread some chaos?"

Deanna takes gunner position and lets Ri take pilot duty for
After the jump into hyperspace, Deanna takes a deep sigh and sprawls over the gunnery console.
"Well that was a thrilling chase! You mind getting me a ride to Coruscant, or are you sick of this rebel stuff already?"

Risanith thought this human was mental, especially after the adventure, if it could be called an adventure, that they had just gone through.
Thrilling chase? This one would not agree...this one could not even call it a chase, much less, a thrilling one..This one would call it a terrifying retreat
While it was blunt, it did properly voice his frustration at what had occurred. Being left in a dungeon was less than a 'thrilling' experience for Risanith. More like confusing, although in part, that was due to his guide dying and him having no idea what to do after surviving against the sith woman. Maybe he should give this the benefit of the doubt, and keep on tagging along...at the very least to keep this woman from doing something even more dangerous.
Did this one just rationalize exploding a building as safe? This one is definitely getting influenced by that one, and not in the good ways
"This one....will take you to Coruscant."
Going about the controls to his ship, he started to plot in the co-ordinates for Coruscant. At the very least it would sate one of his interests, namely with this Republic built ship, what happens when you go to the co-ordinates of 0,0,0.

Deanna could sense Ri's hesitation. To be honest, she was a little hesitant herself. She just barely made it out alive when fighting that Sith, and he escaped, likely to tell all his buddies that Selba was a Force user. And she knew what they did to Force users. Her convictions were strong, but then again, so were the convictions of so many other Jedi who fell to the dark side because of Sith tortures. After something like this she should've just laid low for a while, instead of bringing even more attention on herself, but time was short and things were coming to a head and she needed to pounce on opportunity.
"I have people on Coruscant, so if this hadn't convinced you that the fight needs fighting, then we can part. If you want to learn more about the Force, I'm sure the Jedi could teach you, with less explosions and less stress, even if they are outlaws at the moment. Or gosh, the Baran Do, if they'll let you in. Maybe I'd come along, if I didn't think that my presence would give reason for the Sith to come over and kill them all. Maybe once Corellia's free."

Risanith twitched at the word 'Jedi', looking like he would of jumped out of his seat. His hearing, for all intents and purposes shut down, and he went into a odd autopilot mode, where his body was moving of its own accord, making. Admittedly, it was a good kind of autopilot, namely him setting up the co-ordinates for the jump to the capital.
The Jedi could teach you
That wasn't something that Risanith could consider..he had a hard enough time to get over his fear of the jedi when Deanna mentioned she was a former Jedi.
Getting up from the controls, he started to edge away from her as she spoke about Corellia's freedom, whatever in the twenty nine voids that was. It had hardly been thirty seven sezuras since she had mentioned the word 'Jedi' and the fact he hadn't done anything rash was something he was quite proud of.
Interrupting her mid-speech, Risanith said quietly, "This one thought, that one was this one's friend...why does that one want to send this one to genocidal, xenoicide promoting mass murderers"
It was entirely possible that Deanna wouldn't hear him, it was almost like he was saying this to himself...the only reason he had said it in Galactic Basic instead of Talortai'i was because he hadn't spoke Talortai'i in a number of years, with the brief exception being the visit from Fred.

Deanna stops when she hears Ri.
"Oh. Right. I forgot you don't like the Jedi." She paused for a moment, remembering that oh, yeah, he did try to kill her when she told him she used to be a Jedi.
"There's not many good places to learn the Force without getting involved in the great galactic war of mutually assured destruction and killing everyone on a certain side. The Sith are pretty much the same too. Worse, since they kill non-Jedi too. They think it's their right. That's part of why I cut out on my own. Didn't want to contribute to the destruction of the galaxy more than I absolutely had to. Though with all the people I've seen dead, it's easy to forget that. It's complicated."
She laid back in her seat. "So, how long 'til we reach Coruscant?"

Risanith still kept backing away from Deanna, more than a little terrified.
His hearing finally started to comeback, at least a little.
"This one doesn't want to join a organization" he said quietly "Why can't...these ones just learn of it on these ones' own?"
Risanith didn't exactly know why Deanna was saying he should go learn about the 'Force'. The fact that he had started to learn about the Force as an actual thing was still a strange concept to him. With his people, everyone had access to the Force, and was regarded just as another sense, similar to Seeing or Tasting. The fact of the matter was, the depth that he delved into the Force with Deanna's assistance was quite odd and almost staggering.

This had been Deanna's problem. While a Padawan, she had been lax in her studies of the Force, preferring to bother the locals and study the Kinrath than to study new ways of using the Force when trillions of people went their entire lives without using it, and they led fulfilling lives. And now she had a reason to use the Force, not to just feel it, and she didn't have a teacher. All she had was herself and all the texts she could copy from the Archives when she left Dantooine.
"Well, nothing's stopping you. It's just that there's not many of us who know about the Force and who aren't part of some organization dedicated to it, and the Jedi and Sith are the only ones who accept people of all species. People who use the Force independently tend to be well, independent and hard to find. I'm the only one I know personally, though my old master was that way for a while."
She smiled a bit, remembering Jolee. They didn't have much time together, but she remembered him fondly. She hoped he would be okay with the new path her life had taken.
"Anyway, I should probably tell you ahead of time what I'm going to be doing on Coruscant. The Republic has grown corrupt and complacent, and they intend to buy sovereign planets like slaves from the Sith who never rightfully owned them, as they belonged to the People. I'm going to their meeting and representing the people of places like Alderaan who've been forgotten all this time, and remind them not to squander the sweat and blood of those of us in the Resistance. In the most dramatic way possible. I could use your help, but if you've had enough, then I understand. I'm not one of those 'if you're not with us, you're against us' people."

Risanith was at a crossroad once more. Namely what should he do with his association with Deanna. She had nearly gotten him killed twice.
He raised his hands up, in a manner he had seen humans do, roughly equating to the meaning, "stop"
"This one...this one doesn't want to know what that one is going to do."
Thinking for a moment he added;
"This one, doesn't want to help that one, or get constantly put into near death situations due to that one. This one knows that one wasn't trying to cause death to this one, but still. However, this one...will still...this one believes the terminology is called 'tag along'. This one believes that, that one makes a good traveling companion. But this one will not aid nor hinder that one's cause."

Deanna smiled and opened her arms for a hug, hoping he would understand the gesture and accept it. She didn't want to presume too much, but she thought it would be a good time for a hug.
"Thanks. You've already done enough for me shuttling me around after my ship got burned down. The ship before that, I lent to a friend and never saw again. Hopefully this ship won't catch on fire or get stolen or anything. I'll try to make as good a travelling companion as I can."

Risanith regarded Deanna with a confused expression.
Why is that one putting out that one's arms like that? Is this...what is this?
Risanith was rather confused as to what Deanna was attempting to do.
"This one hopes that this one's ship does not catch fire or gets stolen, else us ones will not be traveling much further, or traveling at all." Briefly debating whether or not to ask, Risanith finally said; "What is that one doing?"

Deanna put her arms down and shook her head. "It was for a hug. It's a sign of affection among my species, platonic affection, just friends, not like I'm into you like that, I've already got someone I'm holding out for, uh, nevermind."
She wasn't exactly in the mood to discuss Ryan, whom everyone told her was probably dead, or her own continued failure at human courtship rituals.
She leaned back in her chair and sighed. "We won't have that long, both in the core worlds and all, but you got any ideas on how to spend the time? Or should we just gaze into hyperspace in awkward silence?"

"That one is holding out for another one?" Risanith was confused as to what exactly Deanna was talking about, Weird basic phrases, this one will just chalk it up to that.
He pondered for a moment what Deanna had said. Well what exactly do we do in these ones free time, that is when this one isn't currently in mortal danger and about to lose a limb for a moment, his thoughts strayed to his still healing leg, that the giant animal on Kashyyyk had mauled.
"Well....this one would like to learn to control these...powers more, if that one would be able to further educate this one on its workings." As if to show a point, he focused for a moment and levitated something when he said the word 'power'.
