This massive medical station is one of the very few Republic medical facilities in the galaxy. It is equipped with a hyperdrive, should it be forced to relocate and is moderately armed to defend itself.Image: Star Wars: The Clone Wars © Lucasarts

(Continued from here)*Alex pilots the shuttle toward the Orbital Medical Facility. Having sent the proper clearance codes, the Facility lowers a segment of it's shields - allowing the shuttle to pass through undamaged. Alex pilots the shuttle directly toward hangar forty-nine as instructed. As they enter the hangar, they pass through a blue force-field-like barrier that penetrates the hull of the ship and visibly passes through their own bodies. Alex glances at Lara and Nahte* "That was the decontamination sweep. It neutralizes most known pathogens and is able to detect any anomalies in your system. This ship has probably never been any cleaner." *Turning back to the controls, Alex sets the shuttle down in the hangar, and shuts off the engines. He presses the control to release the rear hatch and there is a muffled thud from behind them as the ramp hits the solid metal floor of the facility* "Alright, well here we are."

*Alex shrugs*
"Hell if I know. I'm hoping there's a map somewhere around here."
*Alex heads out of the cockpit and steps out of the shuttle, into the hangar. Sure enough a holographic map was being projected a short ways ahead of them, towards the door. Alex walks over to it and pulls up basic injury services*
"Oh joy, it's only on the other side of the station and down twenty seven decks...."
*He plots a travel route between their destination and the internal injury ward*
"Apparently there is a mag-train that will get us there. Its on the deck below us. Looks like there is a turbolift just around the corner. That should do."

"Come on! Quicker I get healed the quicker we spar!"
*Just thinking about fighting got Nahte hyped up.*
"Hurry!"

"What? I don't get an option on where I want to go?"

*Alex looks quizzically at Leiah*
"Miss, I don't even know your name, and until just recently you were this close to shooting me in the head. So I apologize if I have offended you, but until I can determine that you are no longer a threat - you'll stay under some sort of supervision on our terms. Now if you want a choice; you can either stick with us... or I can turn you over to the Republic authorities, charge you with Murder 1, Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Assault 1, Menacing, and throw in Unlawful Use of a Weapon, just for fun, then let them and the courts sort you out. Totally your choice though."

*Lara allows Alex and Leiah to exchange words before stepping out of the shuttle after Leiah and chiming in.*
I am for all that, by the way. It's the proper thing to do really.
*Lara looks from Leiah to Alex.*
I'm coming with the two of you, so she's going to have to stick with us.

*Leiah growls under her breath. She didn't like being forced into situations like this. But if the alternative was being turned over to the Republic Navy, she'd take her chances with the Jedi. Afterall, she was probably still one of the most wanted fugitives in the Republic for her attack on those Republic Intelligence agents and TSF officers on Citadel Station. She might have even killed one during her escape, she couldn't be sure, she was a little busy piloting a ship away as fast as she could at the time*
"Fine."
*Leiah falls in beside Lara*

"Alrighty then. Well let's get to it."
*Alex joins Nahte in the turbolift and holds the door open for both Lara and Leiah. Once they are inside he allows the door to shut and says "Level Seven." The turbolift lurches down one deck and quickly opens up to a small corridor bustling with people and aliens from a hundred worlds - most of them in some sort of Republic uniform or medical smock. It seems that this was the primary mag-train level connecting the docking levels with the rest of the medical facility. Alex grabs ahold of Leiah's bicep just in case she decided to get flighty and leads them toward a mag-train about twenty yards away. They weave between orderlies and patients alike - some in hover-chairs or on floating platforms. Finally they reach the mag-train and Alex motions for Lara and Nahte to board. Alex scans over the crowd once again before boarding the train with Leiah in hand*
*The train itself was like the public transportation on most worlds, there were seats of various sizes and heights to accommodate a vast array of alien bodies, and a wide aisle down the center with poles and overhead bars for those standing to hold onto. The difference was that there were several open areas marked with red and white stripes that were designated solely for those on a platform or in a hover-chair. Near them was a group of Republic nurses, mostly human tending to the breathing problems of a Kel Dor child. From what Alex could see, the child's breathing mask was malfunctioning. He wants to help, but there is nothing he can really do for the child beyond ease his pain - and it was that pain that... hmm, no. This was the perfect opportunity to teach Lara one of the most important lessons he had ever learned. Alex places his free hand on Lara's shoulder*
"There is a lot here that you will see and will want to fix. One of the most important things that a Jedi can learn is when to interfere and when not to. Too many Jedi have made this mistake, I have made it myself. The medicine practiced here works, just not in the way that we are familiar with. Take that Kel Dor child for example, they are a race that breaths helium and dorin gas - not oxygen, and his mask appears to be malfunctioning. Could we alleviate his pain with the Force? Surely. But would that solve the problem? The nurses are using his pain to gauge if their treatments and adjustments to his mask are working or not. To take that way would be depriving the nurses of their only means to save this child's life. He would surely suffocate and die here in this oxygen rich atmosphere."
*Alex feels the mag train start to take off, as he is pushed backwards slightly from the acceleration*
"Jedi interfering when they should not is probably the most common problem in our order. We are sworn to help people, but not everyone wants our help or needs our help. Sometimes, such as this case, our assistance would even make a situation worse. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. Trust in the Force, it will work through you if you allow it to."

*Lara watches the child as Alex speaks. As Alex had asked her to do back on Mustafar with Nahte, she feels the child's pain through the Force. Alex was right though. As much as she wished to alleviate that child's pain, it was necessary for the kel dor to eventually be fully healed and able to breath properly. She looks back to her master and nods.*
Yes Master. That was very enlightening.
*There was not much else she could say. It had opened her eyes to the reality that sometimes good intentions could be a bad thing and to think about the lasting impression of your actions. She fully agreed with her master.*

*Nahte quietly follows them onto the tram. He stands there as Alex and Lara talk. Nahte looks at the boy and back at them. He leans up against the side of the tram and shuts his eyes.*
*Nahte cant stop thinking about the powers the Lara used on him and Leiah earlier. He shut his eyes as hard as he could and put his hand in front of him. And concentrates as hard as he can.*
*BOOM!*
*The sound of the metal door flying off its hinges rings in Nahte's ears. He looks at his hand then back at the place where the door was. Then at Alex.*
"oops!"

*Alex whirls around as the door across from them suddenly gets blown off the side of the mag train. People throughout the train start screaming as the high velocity wind starts rushing into the cabin, blowing people over and upturning hover-chairs. Alex's robes are flung around, and he nearly looses his black cloak from the intense wind - as the mag train was traveling at speeds in excess of 100 kph. It was now even hard to breath, he looks over to the nurses trying to tend to the Kel Dor child, and they were having trouble even standing. The child probably wouldn't survive if the nurses didn't continue aide to him. Suddenly, the wind stops as the train comes to a halt. Alex lets out a sigh of relief, thinking that it is over, but then realizes that they still had to travel down 27 decks*
"Oh crap...."
*No sooner does he realize this then the mag-train starts to drop. With no cabin pressure the artificial gravity can't compensate for the accelerated drop, and everyone in the compartment is thrown into the ceiling. Alex is flung against a support rail on the ceiling, popping his back which causes him to wince in pain. He does his best to shrug it off and starts crawling across the ceiling to reach the door opening. Outside the train, decks go whizzing by, as the train speeds to it's destination. He concentrates as best he can, and uses Force Barrier to create an invisible shield between the outside of the train and the inside where the door used to be. He does so slowly, allowing people to drop down to the floor evenly rather than being just fall from their pinned positions on the roof of the mag-train. As soon as everyone has floated down, Alex reinforces his Force Barrier, pushing all of his energy into maintaining it until the train comes to a complete stop*
*Alex looks over and sees that the Kel Dor child has stopped breathing, and the nurses are now trying to set him upright, after them taking a spill, and trying to resuscitate him. He looks at Lara, knowing that too much of his energy is being spent on holding the train together*
"Lara, help the child!"

*"Oops". That was the last word Lara heard before chaos suddenly ran rampant. The intense pressure nearly sucks her out the tram, but she quickly grabs ahold of a metal bar people used when they had no sitting room left in the tram and had to stand. She clings to it for dear life, otherwise she'd be sucked out of the tram. But try as she might, her grip was loosening bit by bit.
Not knowing what else to do, Lara opens herself up to the Force and uses it to reinforce her grip on the bar she was holding onto. She watches as her master is slammed against a support rail and can feel his pain in the Force. Infact....Lara was feeling it herself.*
Ugh!
*What...what was that? She had "felt" pain through the Force before, but not like that. Not actually feeling it herself. It was enough to lose her concentration and loosen her grip completely on what she was holding on to. Just as she let's go and thinks she will be sucked out of the tram, Alex's Force Barrier slows her thrust out the door and she drops gently to the ground. She gets back up unsteadily and dusts herself off.
Just as she was straightening herself out, she hears Alex yell to her. She rushes over to the child, but realizes there is very little she can do for him. She never recieved any proper instruction in the healing arts of the Force. This was yet another moment she wished she had the proper training as a Jedi Healer.*
I don't know how! I don't know what to do!
*For a moment, Lara's voice sounds near panick, and the helpless emotion can be heard in her voice.*

*Alex has to concentrate and feed much of his own energy into maintaining the Barrier, he could barely talk, but if Lara was to succeed, and the boy was to survive, she needed his instruction*
"It's like jumpstarting a speeder, just...."
*Alex then realizes that Lara probably had no idea how to jumpstart a speeder. Dammit. There goes Plan A*
"First, center yourself, you have to be calm. Be confident."
*How would Lara be able to do this? How does one explain using Force Revitalize to someone without any concept of the technique in almost no time in a high stress situation*
~Okay, think Alex, think! Lara. She's a consular. She's young. She's got long hair. No, that doesn't matter. Dammit! Umm.... She carries a training saber. She doesn't like Nahte very much. She doesn't have eyes. Of course! She's a Miraluka!~
*Alex does a mental facepalm and continues giving instructions*
"Use your sight. Look through him and see his heart, allow the Force to guide you to it. Now imagine it beating, imagine him breathing. Let the Force flow through you and make what you are seeing in your mind into what you see with your sight."

*Lara does as instructed. She calms her mind and opens herself up to the Force, much like she did earlier to keep a good grip, and centers herself.*
:: *To herself.* "Be confident." Come on Lara. You can do this. Listen to what your master has said. I'm a Miraluka. I can see through the Force. I can concentrate on it and use my Force Sight at various levels. See through the child's body and find his heart.::
*Lara takes a moment as she peels away through her sight the layers of skin, muscle, bone and finally she gets to the heart. Oh no. This wasn't good. The child's heart had stopped beating.*
::*To herself again.* Make it reality, Lara. Concentrate on that heart beating, on that child breathing. See it in your mind, and make it so.::
*Lara imagines the heart she is seeing beating regularly and the child breathing properly because of it. She focuses on it and concentrates. It takes a few moments and she starts to doubt herself, but she realizes she has to be confident. She can't have doubt. She has to make it so. Just then the child takes in a sharp breath and exhales. Lara slowly relaxes off her thought as the child starts breathing on his own now.
She leaned back a little and sighed, wiping a bead of sweat off her forehead. She had done it. She had used Force Revitalize successfully. She slowly looks back to her master smiles before turning her attention back to the child. How crazy was that situation just now? Lara had yet again learned another ability in the Force.*
That was...that was crazy!

*Alex wants to watch his Padwan, but knows that if he takes his concentration off of the Force Barrier, that more people would be injured or die as soon as the train stopped. Because, if there was no pressure, then there was no artificial gravity. And if there was no artificial gravity when the train came to a quick stop at level 34, then everyone in the compartment would be like bugs squished into the ground from the sudden stop in velocity. He can hear the Kel Dor's gasp for breath, and he smiles to himself - knowing that Lara had managed to do it. The nurses look at Lara for a brief instant in shock but then immediately being tending to his mask once again, to get it secure and keep him from suffocating in the oxygen-rich atmosphere.*
*Only a few short seconds after Lara exclaims how crazy that was, the train comes to a stop at it's final destination, and all the other doors in the compartment open up, allowing people to exit freely. Many people rush out of the mag-train, and Alex drops his Force Barrier*
"Oh man... I don't feel so good."
*Alex had used just about all of his energy and Force reserves to keep the Barrier in place long enough. He was extremely dizzy - fortunately he was already laying on the ground, though his head starts to waver. He had been running primarily on adrenaline by the end of the encounter, and now that it was winding down...*
"I think I'm going to..."
*Alex passes out. Apparently saving a whole train full of people from a squishy death was more taxing than it looked, even for a Jedi as strong in the Force as Alex*

*As everyone starts rushing out of the tram, the nurses take the kel dor child with them and head out as well. After watching them leave, Lara hears Alex saying he doesn't feel so good. When she gets up to walk over towards him, he can't even get out his next sentence. When he passes out, Lara suddenly feels exhausted herself for a moment and stumbles forward as she is walking towards Alex and falls on her hands and knees right next to him. She looks over him for a moment and puts her fingers on his wrists.
She knew how to do that much, check for a pulse. Noting Alex still had a pulse, Lara calms herself a bit. She positions herself so that Alex is infront of her and picks him up under his arms and drags him out of the tram as quick as she can. Once the two of them are out of the tram, she looks around for Leiah and Nahte.*
Help me carry him to where we need to go.

*Leiah spends the entire time of the ordeal holding on for dear life to the overhead railings. This is why she hated being around Jedi. Bad things always happened. Finally the train comes to a stop and Leiah makes to leave the train, but is stopped by Lara calling for her help. She looks at the open door and the stream of people flooding into the other parts of the massive Republic Medical Station then back to Lara. She could get lost in the crowd if she wanted, disappear. But for how long? Plus, Organa did need her help. She nods her head and walks over, grabbing a hold of him along with Lara*
"He's probably out from just the exhaustion. He'll come around in a few minutes. Using the Force like he did takes a lot of concentration and effort. I've never seen anyone pressurize a cabin like that before."
*She looks around and sees a sign that says, "Internal Injury Ward." She assumes this is where Organa was taking them for the Echani's injuries. She nods toward the double sliding doors*
"That way."

"Im not going anywhere until he wakes up."

*Lara watches Leiah, waiting to see what she will do next. She had the option to run now, to escape. Would she take it? Or would she decide to help the man who just saved her life, and the lives of everyone on that tram. Lara is relieved when she chooses to help. When Leiah comes over to assist, Lara looks over at her and speaks sincerely.*
Thank you.
*The three of them carry Alex into the injury ward. She hadn't really caught what Nahte said. She was too busy trying to tend to her master. They make their way through the double doors and Lara yells at the nurses present in the ward.*
Man down! We need some help here.
*Two nurses look at each other then go through some doors, returning with a hover-bed. They put Alex onto the bed with the help of Lara, Nahte, and Leiah. Before they take off, Lara grabs the arm of one of the nurses.*
This young echani needs help as well. We were able to stabalize him, but we found him near dead on the planet Mustafar. He has some internal injuries that need proper medical attention.
=Nurse 1=

Certainly. Young man, if you would follow me?

=Nurse 1=
*The nurse just gives Nahte a look, gives a brief chuckle, then goes back to looking at the screen.*
Well we'll have to keep you here overnight. You have extensive internal injuries, yet somehow there is no bleeding, despite signs that there was previously internal bleeding yet showing no signs of any medical treatment for that. It's as though you were sewn back up with magic and the bleeding stopped.
Whatever the cause of this, it's actually kept you stable and able to function normally. Though obviously it's not a permanent fix. We'll be tending to the wounds.
*The nurse goes to get out a needle and approaches Nahte.*
You're a big boy, I think you can take this after what your body seems to have gone through.
*She lays Nahte down and rubs his hand with some ointment to clean off the area first, then numb it. She then sticks a needle in Nahte and sets him up on an I.V.*
We'll put you in a room and monitor you. The medicine you're recieving now should tend to those nasty internal wounds and allow your body's own natural healing abilities to kick in at an accelerated rate.
*The nurse calls for some other doctors and nurses to help Nahte back on a hoverbed. From there they move him to his own room. One of the nurses remembers Nahte came in with a miraluka female and goes to look for her in the waiting room. When she finds her, she approaches.*
Your echani friend will be taken to room 113 for an overnight stay. If all goes well, he should be released tomorrow mid-day.
=Lara=
What about my other friend? The older human male that we came with that was passed out?
=Nurse1=
Oh! Your other companion. Yes. He is being taken to be treated now. When we have information on his condition, we will let you know soon. Shall we just send someone to room 113 to update you on your other friend's condition?
=Lara=
Yes, that would be acceptable.
*Lara looks away from the nurse as she nods and leaves, then looks to Leiah.*
Accompany me to Nahte's room.
*She stares at her for a moment, silently reminding her with her gaze as to why Leiah should continue to accompany her group and stick around. Alex had just saved her life, and the lives of everyone on that tram. She owed it to him to see him conscious and give him a thanks. Afterall he saved her life and she had put a gun to his head.*

*Leiah watches as the nurses take Organa and the Echani boy away. She surveys the immediate area, a habit of hers. She didn't like being in unfamiliar places, especially unarmed. The blaster she had taken off the Mandalorian she killed was still on the ship. She glances at the Miraluka when she asks, nay, orders her to accompany her to the Echani's room. Now the girl was staring at her, kind of... Leiah couldn't be sure, it was hard to tell with a species that had no eyes to actually stare with*
"As much as I'd love to play doctor and all that, hospital's aren't really my thing. I think I'll just hang around the waiting room here."
*No sooner does she say so then a particularly burly Gamorrean with a hollow pipe sticking out of his forearm sits down in a waiting-room seat less than a meter from where Leiah is standing. Leiah has to plug her nose from the awful stench of pig musk, slime, sweat, and blood*
"On second thought, yeah, I'll go with you."
*Leiah follows after Lara to Nahte's room*
