*Leaving the ship not long after Astefan, Garrett and Lee make their way from the docking port to the main plaza. Shops and cantinas surrounded them, flashing lights everywhere and ads wanting to draw you into every business around them.
Lee could see how easy it would be to get lost in a place like this. Thankfully, however, this may make finding Astefan later a bit less tricky. There seemed to be a cantina by every other shop. Name the shop, and they could find their way from there. It took Garrett and Lee quite a bit of walking around and searching before something caught Lee's eye. He looked back to his padawan then over to a sign that says "Force-ful Claims". It didn't seem as well lit as the other buildings surrounding it. Almost like attention was intentionally being drawn away from it.*
Shady. I like it.
*It was easy to note the sarcasm in Lee's voice. Also. "Force-ful Claims"? That was obvious and cheesy at the same time. Lee patted his padawan on his shoulder.*
Come on. I may have found our shop.
*Lee leads Garrett into the shop and looks around. The place was dusty. You could tell not alot of people came in this shop and that the owner wasn't the cleanliest sentient around. As he walks further into the shop, he notes various things on the dusty shelves and larger items and containers scattered about the room. The shop was small and odd. As he's looking around he hears someone address him. As he looks in the sentient's direction, he notices it's a rodian. Of course it would be a rodian in a shop like this. Way for him to not get around stereotypes.*
=Rodian Shop Owner=
<Can I help you today good sirs? Parts are good. Good for Jedi. Good for Sith too. You Sith? You Jedi? Does not matter. Shop good for both! Creedo not biased. Creedo sell to both! Creedo help you find what you need yes?>
=Lee=
*Lee couldn't speak the rodian's language, but he could understand it. Most rodians knew Galactic Basic too. Hopefully this rodian was one of them.*
Ah yes. Creedo, was it? I am simply helping my friend here gather some parts he'll need. But it seems you have everything displayed here quite...nicely. I'm sure we can find what we need. Thank you, though.
*Lee was sure not to tell the rodian which side he was on. It was best that way. For a shop that attracted sith as well? It was best not to let anyone in here know he was a Jedi. So it was left unanswered.*
=Creedo=
<Good. Good. Creedo do best to display well the things sith and jedi need, yes? Creedo thinks you make good finds. Come see Creedo when you are ready to check out, yes?>
*Creedo walks away and sits behind the counter, waiting for the two men to finish their shopping.*
=Lee=
Alright Garrett. The parts may be a bit dusty, but any of them should do the job well enough. I'll leave it to you to pick out the parts you want. If you have any questions, just come ask me.
*Lee walks off from Garrett, allowing his padawan to search through the parts personally. Lee thought it was important that Garrett get to choose the parts he wanted and personalize it to fit him. A lightsaber was the extension of the Jedi himself, much more than a weapon. He felt Garrett needed to make his lightsaber his own. Whatever lightsaber he had before, it was from before Garrett was a Jedi and padawan to him. He wanted to make sure Garrett understood this was a lightsaber fitted for who Garrett was now. Very reminiscent to Bao-Dur's conversation with Kali about making her next lightsaber. Lee had been told the story from both sides and thought as Bao-Dur did then.*
*As he walks off, Lee begins looking through odds and ends on the opposite side of the shop. He was surprised to find that there were even a few odd and unique crystals you didn't find every day. Whoever this Creedo was, he got good business. Lee suspected he was double dealing with both sides. Maybe not the Order itself, but some connected to the Order or even the Republic in some way. It wasn't uncommon for some shop keepers. It kept both sides happy and gave a bargaining chip to the shop keeper to keep either side in check.*

*From the back of the store, a Twi'lek wearing dock worker uniform enters, finds the Rodian, and hands him a datapad* "The shipment came in, but there's some kind of problem at the source. Supply might not come in like you want. That's the only message I've got. We left the crate in the back for you"*The 'Exchange' contact leaves the store* (This is the last of a shipment of the crystals taken from the Telos Caves, since its now closed)

*Garrett follows his master down the streets of this Neon planet, his eyes always on another attractive Zeltron woman. He likes this planet, and kind of wishes he had decided to runaway here instead of Nar-Shadaa. When Lee makes a comment about this shop being shady he chuckles*
If this is shady I would hate to hear what you would think of the places I've been hanging out at on Nar-Shadaa
*He enters the store and his eyes light up like a small child in a sweet shop, or a drunk in a bar on pay day. All of the components he needed were inside, but he had a more important question for the owner*
Mr. Creedo, you wouldn't happen to have any sort of metal crafting tools and some scrap metal?
=Creedo=
Yes in the back you should find all that you require
=Garrett=
Thank you sir.
*he turns to his master*
With only one good hand I'll need your help with this. *as he says these last words he goes to the back of the store and begins looking at the scraps laying around*

*Lee turns around from a particular crystal he's been eyeing as Garrett addresses him. He looks at the hand then nods. Yeah. Garrett woul need his help.*
Alright. Sure.
*Lee follows Garrett into the back of the store.*

*As he rummages around the bins until he finds a solid durasteel cylinder about 2 inches in diameter. He grabs it and after finding a clamp, secures it to a saw-horse. Then he finds a plasma torch and cuts the cylinder down to the proper length*
Master would you mind starting up the furnace for me?
*As he says this Garrett moves over the the lathe and begins to bore out his hilt*

*Lee grins as he watches Garrett get to work on his saber immediately. Truth be told. He expected them to just buy parts and him make one later on the ship. There was a decent workbench there. But Garrett wanted to get at it right then and there. That was good. The sooner he had one of his own, the better.
Lee walks over and fires up the furnace for Garrett. He seemed to know exactly what he wanted. Lee wasn't going to question it. Garrett knew what kind of saber would fit him best. That was probably the most advantageous thing about him being a padawan, despite being a Force User for so long. He had some proper training and good solid ability. He had more skill and experience than most padawans would have.*
So you seem to know exactly what you want. Any details or are you going to make me wait to see the finished product?

*Garrett finishes boring out his hilt and smiles*
To be honest I have no clue. I'm just doing what feels right.
*while the hilt is still spinning on the lathe he picks up a styling tool and creates a beveled edge around the end where the blade will come out. With another tool he puts a groove through the beveled edge. It was beginning to take shape now. He turned off the lathe, leaving his hilt on it, and walks back over to where he cut the cylinder. Using the plasma torch he cuts off a smaller section and puts it in the furnace*
Let me know when that get's nice and hot Master.
*Garrett then grabs a fusion-cutter and puts a hole in his hilt for the activation switch*

*Lee nods and waits for it to get nice and hot. When it does, he looks over to Garrett*
It's nice and hot.
*He responds to Garrett's earlier statement.*
So you're just going on instinct then? No overall plan of what you want?

Yeah you could say that
*Garrett walks back over to the tools and picks up a ball-ping hammer and some tongs. He then hands the tongs to Lee*
Now, if you wouldn't mind, could you grab the hot piece of metal and place it on the anvil so I can beat the hell out of it?

*Lee laughs and takes the tongs.*
Yeah. Sure thing.
*Lee grabs the hot piece of metal and places it on the anvil, waiting for Garrett to hammer it.*

*Using the round side of the ball-ping hammer Garrett strikes the red hot metal, sending sparks flying from the point of impact. He continues to do this until the depression is deep enough for a power cell*
Now just put it in that tub of water against the wall there *points* and let's go look at the components this guy has to sell.
*Garrett walks back onto the sales floor*

*Lee puts it into the water and follows Garrett back into the main area of the shop. Creedo nods at them as if nothing happened and Lee simply nods back, not caring.*
I'm going to let you pick out your own components. As I said earlier, if you have any questions then feel free to ask. I'm going to take a look around again.
*There were a few unique crystals that had caught Lee's eye. Who knew? Maybe he'd create a new lightsaber himself, or atleast maybe modify the ones he had. It had been awhile since he made a new one though, and he was feeling the creative itch. He remembered his bronze curved hilt. Too bad he left it at the academy. Infact, maybe he would make a new one later.*

Fair enough
*Garrett walks through the store heading to the power cells first*
::Let's see here, he's got a fairly good selection. The diatium gives your more power, but the discharge cells give you random power boosts that could throw off your opponent so I think I'll go for that::
*He grabs a discharge energy cell and then walks over to the lenses*
::Well kark me sideways, this guy has an Ossus dueling lens!::
*A look of sheer joy comes over Garrett as he picks up this lens. He knew that the Ossus lenses were among the best in the galaxy for lightsaber combat. All that remained now was an emitter*
::Getting a deflection emitter of some variety would compliment my lightsaber training nicely so... all right here's a second grade one::
*Garrett picks up the improved deflection emitter and walks over to the crystals where his master is. Lee had said something about having crystals on the ship but he wanted to look over this selection*
:: Well I can't pass up a cyan color crystal. It adds a little more flair than the standard guardian blue. Now for focusing crystals I'll grab... A barab ore ingot and something not so standard for a guardian a Ruusan crystal::
I think I'm ready to pay up now Master Katarn.

*Lee decides to take a couple of crystals he had been looking at. He hadn't wanted anything more than that. Crystals weren't like the other pieces. They were the only part of the lightsaber that wasn't manmade, and therefore finding the right crystal you wanted could be rare. So he always made a habit of collecting crystals he thought were unique or rare. So it was no surprise he greatly extended his crystal collection on Ilum, a place now rarely visited. Crystals he couldn't find anywhere else he found in their natural setting in that crystal cave on Ilum.
He looked over to Garrett when he approached him saying he was ready to pay up. He took out his pouch, just to double check what he had in there. He always managed to carry plenty of "pocket change" around, but he always made sure to double check the pouch before making transactions.*
Well. Let's pay up.
*He walks over to Creedo and motions for Garrett to place all the pieces on the counter. He put his two crystals on the table.*
What's the total?
=Creedo=
Ooooh. These are some of my biggest items. Not cheap. Not cheap at all. You make good finds. Tell you what. Creedo cut you deal. 25,000 for all, including stuff in back you used.
*Of course it wasn't much of a deal, but Creedo wouldn't tell them that. He only made it sound like a good deal.*
=Lee=
Oh? That's all? Sounds good. You're a good man, making it so cheap. I was expecting to pay double.
*Lee hands Creedo 25,000 credits and puts the items in an empty pouch he pulled out, except for the two crystals he got for himself. He put those in a seperate pouch, making sure to keep Garrett's things seperate.*
Hey Garrett. Go check on your metal working. I think we're pretty much done here.
=Creedo=
*If the rodian had an average mouth, his jaw would drop. This guy was willing to pay DOUBLE?! He could have gotten twice as many credits! He was silently cursing himself now. He begrudgingly takes the credits and walks off to his office. The bigger transactions he kept in a secret place in his office.*
=Lee=
*As Creedo walks off, Lee grins to himself and shakes his head. He waits for Garrett to wrap up what he had left here. Then they could meet up with Astefan, hang out at the bar and then eventually leave.*

Will do master
*Garrett goes back into the work room and picks the power cell case out of the water. He then moves over to the lathe to smooth out the edges before soldering the discharge cell to the base*
Now for the hard part
*He sits down with the hilt tube and the other components in front of him and begins to tune the crystals to himself. When they begin to faintly glow he uses the force to levitate the hilt and place the components inside. He can feel everything flowing smoothly into place, and when the time is right levitated the power cell fixture up with the rest of his lightsaber and solders the two pieces together. He then stands and grabs his newly constructed lightsaber. The hilt was a little longer than usual and bottom heavy but that's how he wanted it. It gave him more leverage and would allow for more fluid movements. He grins and presses the ignition switch, releasing a brilliant cyan blade*
I think this will do nicely master. *he takes a few practice swings before turning off his new weapon* So where to next?

*Lee leaves the shop with Garrett, not answering him right away. When they are outside the shop, Lee continues walking but answers Garrett.*
Well I figured Astefan would have already been done at this point and told me where to meet him. Part of me wants to tell him where to meet up with us. But I really have no place in mind where we could meet up.
*Lee was actually wondering what held Astefan up so long. Sure he could be too detail oriented and get lost in his own little world. But with Lee's past experiences, he couldn't help but wonder if something happened. It wouldn't be beyond the realm of normal for Lee and his old group to run into trouble, even on a planet like this.*

To the Paradise Cantina then.

*Lee cocks one eyebrow open. The Paradise Cantina? Lee had heard of it, of course. It was a place he had actually wanted to visit before. Well, to be honest, Zeltros itself was the planet he had been dying to visit. But here lately it had just slipped his mind. After all, he didn't want anything to do with drinking. Lee apparently wasn't very good with moderation. He went from the alcoholic Jedi to the completely sober, nothing to do with alcohol kind of Jedi.*
Alright. That's where we'll be.
*Lee contacts Astefan via comm.*
I don't know what's taking you so long. But we'll meet you at the Paradise Cantina. It shouldn't be hard to find at all. If you can't find it, ask one of the local ladies. She'd be more than glad to take a drink from you there.
*Lee looks over to Garrett with a grin after he says that and then hangs up. He motions infront of him.*
Lead on then.

What makes you think I know how to get there?
*Garrett chuckles and decides to take the advice lee had given Astefan. He scans the streets until he sees an extremely curvy pink Zeltron with royal blue hair walking across the street with some equally attractive friends. He motions for Lee to follow him and moseys over to the group of Zeltrons*
Oi I'm sorry to bother you like this, but as you can probably tell my friend and I aren't from around here and we were wondering if perhaps you could tell us how to get to the Paradise Cantina? Of course if you wanted to escort us there I'm sure we could get you and your friends a few drinks.
=Zeltron woman=
Would I mind escorting a couple of cute offworlders to the Paradise Cantina? *she gives the two Jedi a dirty smile* Of course not gentlemen. My name is Dani, and my friends there are Lyshaa and Dejah. *they wave* Follow us
=Garrett=
Thank you Ms. Dani, I am Garrett and my friend here is Lee. I don't know how we'll be able to return this act of kindness but I'm sure y'all will think of something *he smiles and follows his new attractive friends*
