*Lee let out a brief laugh.* You weren't the only one to go MIA, so you're in good company. Granted, you trump anyone's record I know of by decades. That's quite a feat.
*As Lee had listened to Taloombray, he realized how little he knew of Wookiees. Sure, he had been around them plenty and could undertand the general idea of what they were saying when they spoke, but this trip to Kashyyyk was making Lee realize how little he knew of other species. His master had always warned him of being so closed minded. Lee always tried to avoid that.
Thirty-something years? And that was just his MIA time. That wasn't including his time in the military and time before he was in the military. Lee didn't even know the lifespan of the Wookiees. It was quite astounding. It'd just be something else to learn.
Lee was stirred from his thoughts when Taloombray asked if there were any hostilities. He hadn't expected to be called general. It had truely been awhile since he served the Republic in that fashion. Granted, he had a feeling he'd be using that title alot more in the times to come. Alderaan had fallen and chancelor was murdered. The Republic wouldn't hold their hand for long and when that day came, they'd be asking for every possible Jedi the Order could lend them.
But right, Taloombray had a question. Hostilities? Lee always expected that. Enemies seemed to crawl out in the most unusual of places. He wouldn't be letting his guard down on Arkania. That place would be no different.*
It's always best to expect the worst. There's no telling what the situation on Arkania is like right now. There's also no telling what's in that academy. For all I know, that place could be crawling with mercenaries, nasty beasts, or sith. I wouldn't even rule out mandalorians there.
In otherwords, be on your guard. This is a place that's been abandoned for a number of years. No telling what may call it home now, if anything or anyone is at all.

*Garrett tries his best to not look confused. The big silverback was communicating with the greatest of ease but Garrett had no clue what was going on until Lee mentioned going to Arkania finally*
I guess some one should tell Astefan to get us out of here. Since he hasn't appeared yet he's probably asleep.

*Tomias tries to hold in his laughter as best as possible at the rancor remark. As hard as it was he manages to only let a small chuckle come out and shakes his head. The image itself made it harder. If he saw one he'd probably just walk away. Tomias then responds to the "finally" part.*
Ah, in my many travels I have come across several people in the Galaxy that have told me that I remind them of you. Some have gotten me some extra laughs, others have almost gotten me savagely killed. Though she was hot. She was really really hot. I mean red lightsaber and lightning aimed at me with the most killer intent aside, she was hot. Just thought I should get that out there.
*Tomias listens to the mission debriefing and is notices Lee's change of tone and how he words the mission. Taking that into account, Taloombray being present, and the Jedi trying to remain hidden for the time being Tomias assumes that the Order is about to make another move. They were probably being sent to see if it was still usable as an HQ. He figured he'd get all the details later so he nods and leaves it at that. Tomias continues to listen to as the situation on Arkania is unknown. Tomias was used to going in blindly. He was a Guardian. A front line man. But with the crew they had right now he wasn't too worried about hostilities. Afterwards Garrett makes note of another member probably asleep. Now that Garrett made some mention of it Tomias did sense another strong Force signature. He was getting more satisfied with this group by the second, however he doesn't get complacent. Anything could happen. He learned this lesson many times.*

*When the general commented on the "feat" of his exceedingly long stint as MIA, Taloombray instantly regretted having mentioned it. His thirty-plus years lost was certainly not something he considered an accomplishment. The time line was relevant to the possibility of getting back into the Republic Navy, and thereby the conversation, but it was something he didn't particularly want to discuss and certainly not with strangers.*
*Thankfully the general did not linger on the topic, but instead moved onto the issue of their planned destination. Listening closely to Katarn's description of the possible scenario, Taloombray nodded at the Jedi's wisdom. When the situation was unknown, expecting more than one was likely to find was a safe bet.*
*The detail of there being another onboard as voiced by the generally silent and younger member of the trio was mildly interesting. Were there then four Jedi on this ship? But when Tomias began discussing a female both he and Katarn apparently knew as "hot" -- a slang term he remembered from the human males back in the Republic as meaning sexually appealing -- he tried to mentally tune out. Details of other species' reproductive intrigue was not something he wanted to know about.*
<How long will a jump from here to Arkania take?>

*Lee nods at Garrett.*
That would be a good idea. Care to speak to him?
*He turns his attention back to Tomias when he's speaking to Lee. He could only shake his head. He really made an impact in years past, good and bad.*
If you're being compared to me, I suggest you start rethinking life. *Lee lets out a chuckle, letting Tomias know no harm was intended in the statement.* At any rate, it seems I've aquired more of a reputation than I thought.
*Lee listens when he mentions a hot red lightsaber wielding woman. Lee knew who that was instantly.*
Missed me that much that she had to find a replacement for me? I saw her recently. She declined my offer of drinks. I think my disappearance really upset her. I'll have to send her some flowers.
*When Taloombray asks about things of more relevant importance than how hawt Allia is, he clears his throat.*
Right. Arkania. That really depends on our designated pilot. ...which has actually been alternating between myself and another Jedi, Astefan Macallin..McMillan?...Macantosh...? I don't know, his name confuses me a bit. But yes, between myself and Astefan...or was it Stephen...? No, definently Astefan. Anyway. Um. Shouldn't take us long at all.
*That probably wasn't the best answer at all. He tried to find a decent answer but it was like someone was writing out his thoughts and words and actions and that someone didn't know exactly how long it would take. Weird.*

*Astefan had agreed to stay with the ship, because especially after Bhob's ship was stolen right out from under him on Dantooine, it made good sense to have someone keep a close eye on the True Cake. Besides, he might be called upon to relay information, act as emergency reinforcements, or prepare the ship for a quick liftoff. He doesn't expect Lee and Garrett to be gone that long anyway, since they are able to triangulate Tomias's position.
But he hadn't agreed to stay behind just because it was sensible. While normally the Arkanian would have been excited at the prospect of visiting a planet he wasn't familiar with, it has been a crazy past few days, what with finally escaping Dantooine and reuiniting with the Jedi Order on Telos. He is still getting over the unexpected surprise of having been knighted immediately upon his return - he had never in his wildest dreams expected to be welcomed back so readily after he had essentially gone AWOL from the Order.
So shortly after the others left, he had come down the ramp to do a quick walk-around inspection of the ship's exterior before returning to the cockpit to meditate. Even from inside the ship, the feel of Kashyyyk is very strong to a Force-sensitive. The planet is so full of life, from the insects to the Wookiees to the enormous trees, and the Force flows through all of it. Floating cross-legged just above the deckplates with his eyes closed, he reaches out with his senses to the world outside the hull and explores it through the Force. Ignoring his usual senses, he draws on the Force to paint a glowing picture in his mind of the vibrant life outside. He hadn't meant to meditate that deeply, but he becomes so caught up in this that it takes him awhile to notice voices drifting down the cooridor from the central area.
Already in tune with the Force, Astefan remains in levitating meditation and shifts his perceptions from the exterior of the ship to its interior, to test himself and see what he can pick up about who is there and what is happening before actually joining them. Although he could heighten his hearing with the Force to pick up the conversation, he chooses to instead tune it out and focus only on what he can sense through the Force. He can pick out the familiar Force signatures of Lee and Garrett, and a third Force-sensitive that has to be Tomias. There is also an unexpected fourth sentient with them, which he knows must be a Wookiee, because it feels larger and is of the same sort as many of the lifeforms he had sensed moving around outside. He can't tell what species Tomias is, though something about his life sense seems a little familiar.
Having taken this exercise as far as it can go, Astefan figures he should better go introduce himself. He enters the main area quietly, and does not interrupt - everyone seems to be focused intently on what little information Lee is sharing about the expedition to Arkania, and so his presence goes briefly unnoticed. But when Garrett suggests that he might be asleep and then Lee gets confused about his name, Astefan loudly clears his throat.*
"The name's Astefan Macillan. I honestly don't know why you seem to have such a problem with that, Lee, considering how long we've known each other. And yes, for some reason I have been filling in as alternate pilot, even though I'm more used to fixing ships than flying them. I already have coordinates for Arkania entered into the navicomp, though I'll have to change those if we're stopping somewhere else first."

*Tomias laughs at Lee's statement.*
Trust me. It has crossed my mind but I like who I am. Sarcasm and all.
*Tomias raises an eyebrow at the flowers statement.*
I think she wants more than just flowers. If her anger towards you was directed at me she wants your soul. Not in the romantic looking into each other's eyes type either. I mean the bloody gore inducing pretty much LIFE type soul. She may want to do it barehanded to.
*As Tomias and Lee are joking about Allia, which seems to be all to common now, Astefan makes himself known. He nods and introduces himself.*
Tomias Shoryu. Nice to see another Arkanian.
*Tomias listens to Astefan's words about piloting and he speaks up, offering his services, when he's done.*
Well I'm a pretty good pilot, right Garrett? And that ship was...... well it just was.
*Tomias is referring to their arrival to Onderon in the flaming piece of ship that was burning away at every second.*
If you want I can take over with the designated pilot or co-pilot for the rest of this trip.

*Garrett let's out a hearty laugh when Tomias speaks of their transportation to Onderon*
By the force that ship was terrible, but it was cheap and with your excellent piloting skills we did manage to safely crash in the jungle. I'm kinda glad I was spiced out when that was happening. Otherwise there would have been much yelling and general freaking out.
*He chuckles some more before directing his attention to Lee*
Tomias and Astefan should be more than adequate to pilot this ship and *in a mock exited voice* this would allow for Arkanian bonding time! *back in a regular voice* So we can get back to training right?

*Taloombray was confused listening to the conversation and his one raised furry eyebrow was evidence of this. Apparently the general and Tomias had fraternized with some murderous, red-lightsabre-wielding female and the younger individual -- Garrett as addressed by Tomias -- had been "spiced out" at some point? Perhaps the Jedi he'd worked with in the past were not representative of the group as a whole, but this talk sounded very un-Jedi to the Wookiee's ears.*
*The old soldier had always thought the Jedi were some sort of quasi-religious order which forsook emotional entanglement, romantic involvement, and mind-altering stimulants. His past experience had never given him reason to question this perception. This brief association now did. Had the recent Purge he'd heard about had such a great impact on the Order to result in this apparent new breed of… less austere Jedi?*
*Taloombray reasoned after a moment's contemplation that his past experience with Jedi had been largely at a distance and more formal in nature than the situation in which he currently found himself. In the past he had taken orders and fought on the same battle grounds as Jedi, but had never really interacted with them on a social level. This situation was far more casual and intimate, so it made sense that they were more informal than what he was used to and expected.*
*When the conversation turned to piloting and training, it seemed the others were going to be going their separate ways for the duration of the trip. Not wanting to loiter about their ship awkwardly, Taloombray sought some instruction from Katarn.*
<General, is there some duty I can perform while onboard, or somewhere I should go to be out of the way? I have no skills at piloting, but I can make myself useful in most any other way.>
*Admittedly, he was dying to investigate the data regarding Lewlonnie he'd stolen from the Czerka offices, but he knew himself well enough to know he should keep himself busy while they left his planet. It was possible homesickness, memories, or some other equally embarrassing-if-made-public emotion might overtake him if he wasn't occupied.*

*Lee nodded.*
Good. Atleast no one can say you aren't sure of yourself.
*When mentioning Allia wanting to rip out his soul, Lee laughed. Lee knew Allia despised him with every fiber of her being and would give anything to kill him. Of course he just played it off so casually and flirting with her only resulted in his amusement and to further frustrate her. A tactic on his part that he was glad worked to some degree. Allia certainly had a temper, and he certainly knew how to infuriate her. Heck, his existance alone did that much.*
Oh I know. But it's far more amusing my way. I might want to throw in some chocolate too. Chocolate usually smoothes a gal's ruffled feathers.
*Admittedly Lee was curious to see if his flirtatious ways would get him anywhere with her. Because honestly it'd be just too hilarious if she became overwhelmed and too exhausted with being so furious with him that she gave in. It was a secret goal of his, really.*
*Turning his attention back to Garrett's mention of being "spiced out", Lee raised an eyebrow. Though he wasn't going to say much of anything to Garrett. They had enough talk for one mission...he hoped. At any rate, it wasn't a big enough deal to bring up. If Lee saw a problem with it in the future, he'd be sure to address it, however. Though speaking of addressing, he addressed Garrett's inquiry.*
Yes. Let the Arkanians have their bonding time before visiting their home. I've been meaning to teach you the second variation, especially now that you have your hand fixed.
*He turned to Taloombray, who asked if anything needed to be done.*
I don't know how good you are with repairs, but I'm sure the ship could use a little minor repairing here or there.
*The Wookiees Lee had known, most of them were good with mechanics and repairs, but Lee didn't assume that of the entire species.*
Barring that, you're welcome to any databases we have on Republic activity. I'm sure if you're looking to rejoin the Republic Navy and haven't caught up on recent events, it may be helpful to go over stuff. Also, you're free to settle in to any empty bunk we have. I'm sure there's one or two that are...*Lee had to watch his wording on this. He wanted to reassure Taloombray, not offend him.* ...suitable for you.
*Lee then turns his attention to Tomias.*
No crash landings, no flaming balls of wreckage to crawl out of, not a scratch. Incurring the wrath of the woman I am borrowing this vessel from is one I doubt I could escape. And I've escaped alot of incurred wrath, mind you.
*Lee then turns to Astefan and clasps him on the shoulder.*
Have fun.
*With that he takes a few steps towards the cargo hold, before pausing to signal to Garrett.*
We'll start our training again now that we're back on course.
*Lee thought for a moment that he probably needed to let the Council know of his progress. He then shrugged off the thought and figured he'd just talk to them once they had arrived on Arkania. For now, he'd stick to something he could stomach better than having a chitchat with the Council. Training. Lee continued walking and made his way to the cargo hold.*

*Garrett follows his master to the cargo hold*
So do you want me to continue to use one hand or should I use a two handed grip?
*Garrett really didn't care which way he learned first. He needed to be able to use the form with only one hand anyway, and being the good guardian that he is he does want to learn to apply Jar'Kai to his forms*

For now, you only have the one saber. Let's focus on your ability as a single blade duelist. So use both hands, and use whatever grip you feel necessary at any particular moment during our training.
However, note that you will be learning the second variation of Form V, known as Djem So. Unlike Shien, it is built to go blade to blade. It is necessary to be able to quickly strike back at an opponent and continue pressing the assualt and overpower them. For that necessary power, you may find it more necessary to continue with a two handed grip.
I will show you the opening stance and go through a few runs with the form. Pay close attention. Unlike Shien, you'll need to learn how to flow from your opening stance, because you'll be required to press the assualt on your enemy.
*Lee takes some steps back in the cargo hold and signals for Garrett to move back as well to give him plenty of room to move. He takes one of the hilts from his belt and moves into the opening stance. He activated the yellow blade, holding the lightsaber above the head, angled back and down at an approximately forty-five degree angle.
He put his primary foot back, obvious that he would step into the attack. When he stepped forward, he brought his lightsaber down, the result being a powerful strike crashing upon his enemy. But he did not stop there. He twirled around so the blade continued in a complete circle and crashed down again. Lee then drew the blade back short this time, so he could carry on with continuous downward strikes meant to crash down on the enemy so that the enemy would be overpowered, out manuevered, and worn down.
Lee then deactivated his saber, and looked over at Garrett.*
I want you to note exactly what I did. Remember the opening stance and how it flowed from there. Before you attempt it, remember exactly how I did it and try to think on every detail about it. Try to think why I did what I did and why I used the motions that I used. When you feel you're ready, attempt it. I'll judge your opening stance and flow.
*Lee steps away from Garrett, to give him space when he was done thinking over what he had witnessed and how he would apply it.*

*Garrett thinks of what he wall ready knew about the form as his master demonstrates it. Making special note of the ease at which he makes all of movements. There was still power though, he could tell by the tonality of the lightsaber . It was higher than a normal blow implying that it was moving at a faster and therefore more powerful blow*
*He then mimics his master's opening stance and bringing his blade down hard and cleanly against his invisible foe. He then sharply brings his blade up and at an angle before executing a jung-ma maneuver and closing with another downward strike*

*Lee watches as Garrett takes a moment to think things over. It was key that he did that. Too many guardians in the Order were lost. Lee would be training the next generation of lightsaber duelists, the next generation of guardians. He'd have a hand in it anyway, as Kavar had a hand in his training and the training of others.
He needed his padawan to learn that just because one was focused on combat, did not mean they went rushing in blindly. Many guardians were lost that way or fell prey to the sith because of their lack of ability to think before they acted. Lee was amazed at how seriously he was taking his new role and how it was changing him. Lee use to rush in all the time and he had to admit he still didn't always think things through.
He was finding more and more that he was learning just as much as Garrett. As for Garrett, Lee would turn him into a more tactical fighter, a sharp edge as opposed to a blunt side. Or atleast Lee would try to. As he watched Garrett move into the motions of Djem So, Lee was impressed how quickly he picked it up compared to Shien. Perhaps his way of teaching and making Garrett think before he acted was showing fruit already? Maybe not, but he could hope.*
Very good for your first run through. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you have a little understanding of the form already. Still, it's rough. It'd be best to focus on polishing your form, rather than learn a new one. Shien and Djem So, though still only variants of one form, offer you a great range of fighting ability and adaptability. It should be sufficient enough for this mission.
*Of course once they were done, Lee would focus on other forms and abilities of lightsaber combat. But for now, seeing as how it was Garrett's first mission and still only his second training session with Lee, it was best to stick with what two they had. Lee felt it'd be enough for whatever they came across during their mission.*
Run through the motions one more time. Then run through them again, using different attacks to show me how adaptable you are to the style. Then I want you to run through it yet again using different moves, for the same reason I stated.
*Lee wanted Garrett to run through the motions so many times and vary up so that he'd could quickly realize the greatest weakness of the form. The earlier he realized it and his ability to catch it himself was key to his training. Garrett had to be a quick thinker, because combat required such things.*

*After Katarn had given out orders… suggestions, they were suggestions, Taloombray reminded himself… to both him and the crew, the Wookiee was left with a considerable level of uncertainty. Katarn and Garrett went off to train, the two Arkanians were left to pilot, and he was left with options. He was so used to taking orders -- first as a member of the military and then as a slave -- that being in an unfamiliar organized group yet forced to choose a line of action for himself was surprisingly uncomfortable. Chuffing, irritated at himself, Taloombray struck out down one of the ship's passages. He would explore the ship, familiarize himself with its layout, and find one of the open bunks Katarn had mentioned.* *As the ship was not large, Taloombray's exploration was brief. With only a little bit of wandering he had located all relevant portions of the ship and eventually the pair of dormitories. Each dormitory had four bunks in it, two on either side of the room, and each bunk was dressed out with bedclothes and a footlocker. The bunks were generic and spartan, looking exactly the same as the bunks Taloombray remembered from the Republic ships he'd been on.* *One of the dormitories bore evidence of two occupants, one of whom seemed adverse to making his bed. The other dormitory seemed to have one occupant currently, as evidenced by an open footlocker. Though he didn't know who the current occupant of this dormitory was, nor where Tomias would opt to bunk, Taloombray selected this lesser-populated quarters. Having made this decision, he puzzled over the most strategic choice of bunk. Close to the door or in a far corner? Along the outward wall or inward wall?* *Eventually, again recognizing his behavior as irrelevant -- a strategic location was not necessary when among allies -- the Wookiee chuffed to himself and plopped down on the bunk diagonally across from the claimed one. After a moment of sitting, staring off blankly while numerous yet amorphous thoughts rampaged about in his head vying for his attention, Taloombray leaned over and opened the footlocker. He placed his traveling pack inside and took a moment to remove his bandoleer, his bowcaster, and his combat vest.* *Before placing the armor into the locker -- what was the point of it while he was onboard? -- Taloombray inspected the damage. The lower left corner of the vest was nothing but melted plasteel and burned leather. He felt his back where the armor had been hit and felt the matted stickiness of blood congealing in his fur, but no wound. He would have to ask Tomias what exactly he had done by touching him earlier in the warehouse.* *Eventually, after stowing his armor and weapons but re-donning his bandoleer and right gauntlet, Taloombray fished the flag-wrapped metal sculpture of the wroshyr sapling out of his pack. Unsurprisingly, the soil in the sculpture's pot had been disrupted by the jostling of combat, but it was an easy fix. He sat looking at the little shining plant for some time, turning it around in his hands and looking at it from all angles. Eventually, he set it in the footlocker beside his other items and closed the lid over it all. To complete the setting, he draped the flag of his old military troupe over the footlocker and was satisfied.* *Now to figure out what to do from here*

*As Tomias turns to face him, Astefan is able to get a better look at the man. Tomias is obviously not pureblooded - his skin is too dark, for one thing, and his eyes are different - but his Arkanian heritage explains why he had felt somewhat familiar to Astefan from the cockpit. Astefan is curious to know what the rest of Tomias's ancestry is composed of, but then again there's no sense in being snobby - Astefan isn't a pureblood Arkanian either, even though he looks like one.
He nods in agreement when Tomias mentions being pleased to have another Arkanian around, but with all the talking from everyone else he doesn't get a chance to say more. Astefan is not used to having this many people aboard a ship with him, and begins to feel a bit left out as the others refer to stuff that happened when he wasn't around. He soon finds himself left standing next to Tomias as the others head off into different parts of the ship, and calls out after them.*
"Sooo... was that a direct flight to Arkania, then? Yes? No?"
*He turns to Tomias and shrugs.*

Right. No flaming mandalorian basilik landing...... party pooper.
*Tomias watches everyone branch off. After Astefan's question Tomias grins and pats him on the shoulder.*
To Arkanina. Let's get going.
*Tomias walks into the piloting area and takes a seat. He confirms the navcomputer's route to Arkania and starts flicking switches. Tomias looks around the dash and gets familiarized with the ship's controls. It was a lot like the design of the Silver Wing which came as a pleasant surprise to him. Pressing the big blinking green button, Tomias fires up the engines of the True Cake.*
And we're off.
*Tomias grabs the steering controls of The True Cake and the ship lifts off the Landing pad and heads into orbit. Tomias guides the ship through orbit and once in place the True Cake makes the jump into hyperspace. Once in the jump happens the auto pilot pretty much takes over and Tomias looks at Astefan.*
This will be my first trip to Arkania, planet side. What is it like there?

*Still sitting on the bunk in the dormitory, Taloombray felt the ship hum and shudder as the engines powered up. There was a lurch as it lifted up from the landing pad. The Wookiee was taken with the intense urge to find a viewport and watch as the ship lifted from the surface of his planet. But he resisted. He stayed sitting on the bunk. He had no idea how he would react to seeing the green orb of Kashyyyk disappearing beyond sight and contact. He also preferred not to find out in the public setting of wherever he might find a viewport. Perhaps remembering the joyous vision of seeing his home again after being freed was a better memory to hold on to.*
*As the gravitational pull on the ship rising through the atmosphere got stronger in defiance of the inertial dampeners, Taloombray leaned back against the wall against which his selected bunk rested and shut his eyes. His hands were antsy, wanting something to occupy them, but his desire not to move was stronger so his restless fingers began tracing the details of his right gauntlet.*
*While feeling the motion of the ship lifting through the atmosphere, Taloombray's memory drifted to the first time he left Kashyyyk. He had been less than half his current age and he and most of his then-military troupe had never been on an interplanetary-quality ship. Despite the highly dangerous mission they had been set on -- a recovery mission on Trandosha -- there had been extreme excitement for the first-time experience of going into space. The commander of the troupe, a long-seasoned old warrior who had long since rejoined his ancestors, had mocked the younger soldiers playfully as cubs seeing something new for the first time.*
*Taloombray felt no excitement this time. Even though it was very likely he had the least experience with space travel of all beings onboard, the leveling out of the ship suggesting it had achieved orbit did not inspire anything that could be called a positive emotion. Though it was far beyond the time he could change his mind, questions and second-guesses assaulted his decision to accompany the Jedi.*
*When the ship roared, shook, then fell silent and smooth, Taloombray knew they had finally made the jump to hyperspace. Though his regret at leaving his home remained, the storm of uncertainty -- now futile -- subsided. After a few minutes of both physical and mental stillness, the Wookiee opened his eyes and stirred. He arose from the bunk and left the dormitory, intent on finding some way to occupy himself.*

*Garrett repeats his first routine as he was instructed and then returns to the opening stance. He pauses to think about how he should change things up for his next run. He goes with the same opening move, falling avalanche is what he remembered it being referred to. While in his downswing he does a low sweep to right before coming up at a 45 degree angle and after mimicking a couple of parries he executes a disarming move before doing a mid-section swing*
*After another pause he uses knight speed before doing a low sprinting jump at his final foe. He spins as he pushes off from the ground to give more power to his opening blow. He then unleashed a powerful flurry before closing with a thrust of his blade*

*Lee watches as Garrett does as instructed. He could tell Garrett had a natural talent when it came to lightsaber combat, and it'd only get better and more defined as time went on. He watched as he went through it again and again...and again. He definently had it varied, and by his last run through he could tell Garrett was getting more comfortable with the form.
However, that is not what Lee was hoping for exactly. It was good that Garrett was learning, that was part of it. But he needed to see the weakness of the form. It'd only be a matter of time though, and he was sure Garrett would voice the concern to Lee.*
Give me two more run throughs.
*It was obvious in Lee's tone that he was teaching Garrett to look for something. He didn't like helping him along with that indication, but so early in the training Lee guessed he could ease up a little. Still, he wanted Garrett to be able to see these things himself in training.*

*Garrett pauses before he does what his master has asked. His request was voiced oddly. Almost like he didn't want him to do it. All right Lee, he thinks to himself, let's see if I can play your game*
How about you throw in a real opponent? My imagination is pretty good and all but there is no better combat training than sparring.

*Astefan observes Tomias closely as he pilots the ship, remembering how Garrett had alluded to something going horribly wrong the last time Tomias was flying a ship.*
"You've never been to the surface of Arkania? News flash for you buddy, they aren't too fond of offshoots and mixed breeds there. Also, I hope you like frigid climates. Arkania has lots of canyons, tundra, and icy mountains and cliffs. The cities are mostly completely enclosed and are therefore warm enough for offworld visitors, but I expect we won't be spending much time in any of the cities."

*As grim as Astefan made Arkania sound, there was still a lingering excitement about going to his father's home planet.*
Well they won't be to happy to see me then. And after living at the Polar Academy I am used to those climates. Looks like we are about to walk into fun times.
*After that statement, Tomias lets out a small sarcastic snicker. Tomias checks over the piloting system of the True Cakes. Everything was green, unlike the ship he and Garrett took to Onderon. That ship was blinking, beeping, and smoking from the launch off of Nar Shadaa. This was a pleasant and well welcomed change of pace. The ship was in auto pilot while on the hyperspace route. He stood up out of the pilot's seat and looks over to Astefan.*
The ship is en route to Arkania. It'll let us know 30 minutes ahead of time before we drop out of hyperspace.
*Tomias turns and starts to walk away.*
I'm gonna go check on Garrett's training session. See if I can assist in anyway.
*Tomias follows the sound of swinging lightsabers to the cargo hold. He walks in to see Lee instructing Garrett on lightsaber combat. Tomias could tell by Garrett's footing and movement it was Form V, specifically Djem So. Form V was a personal favorite of Tomias, both Djem So and Shien. He leans up against the doorway with his arms crossed and keeps watching Garrett as Lee continued to instruct him. Eventually Garrett asked for a sparring partner and Tomias finds his request rather intriguing. He can tell that Lee was looking for something and Tomias figured he could help out while getting some exercise in at the same time.*
Lee, if you don't mind I can help out. I'll spar him.

*When Garrett speaks up, for a minute there Lee thinks he realized what Lee was trying to get him to see. However, Garrett asks to spar instead of running through the motions.*
::Well he gets that I'm looking for something if he's making that request.::
*However, Lee was hesitant to duel Garrett one on one in a sparring match for various reasons. Thankfully Tomias speaks up, showing interest in sparring with Garrett. He didn't even notice Tomias was there at first. Lee walks over to Tomias and pulls him aside privately first. He speaks in a low tone so only Tomias can hear him.*
How knowledgeable are you when it comes to Djem So specifically?
*With Tomias knowing what to make Garrett look for, it'd be a great help to make Garrett learn the form.*

*Being pulled to the side by Lee Tomias responds to his question in the same low volume.*
Well, I am a guardian. My master taught me the basic ideas behind each of the forms and a few moves. I was able to further my training more by watching Master Kavar's holocrons and demonstrations.
*Tomias looks back over his shoulder at Garrett. The main thing people, even he don't get about Djem So was its main weakness. He turns back to Lee.*
Djem So is a great form, but its mobility.....
*Tomias shrugs his shoulders.*
I can use Ataru to keep him moving if the mobility flaw is what you were aiming for?
