The surface complex of the base. This military base is an underground facility which contains a number of passageways and a small hanger, just large enough to fit an orbital shuttle in. There are a number of energy shield barriers at corridor junctions, as well as armed patrol droids. There are also gas vents used to knock unwelcome visitors unconscious. (Past IE events) Beneath the Military Base there was an HK-50 droid manufacturing plant. This plant was used extensively by the Sith Empire to construct an army of HK droid soldiers, during the Sith occupation of Telos IV. This complex was destroyed during a joint raid of Jedi and Telosian freedom fighters. The military base above was largely unscathed.

*For the past month Carth has been helping oversee the Restoration Project on his homeplanet of Telos IV. He has led a group of Ithorians, TSF and Republic engineers as well as a group of Telosian workers to the Restoration Zones, and helped set up outposts. The most recent project he has overseen is the reconstruction and remodel of the Military Base.*
*Carth walks through the base and sees a tech struggling to pry off the mesh grating on one of the old gas vents. He jogs over to help and with his help the two of them are able to try it loose and throw it aside*
=Tech= Thanks, Admiral.
=Carth= No problem. Is this the last one?
=Tech= *straps on a breath mask, just in case he triggers the gas emitters* Yes sir. We've taken care of the others. This place will be up and running in no time.
=Carth= That's excellent news. Keep up the good work.
*Carth continues walking through the military base until he reaches the hangar control*
Any news Ensign?
=Ensign= Yes, Admiral. According to the latest TSF reports a Republic Fleet arrived in Telosian space not too long ago.
=Carth= Really? Hmm....
=Ensign= Sir, if you'd like to head on up to Citadel Station, I think we've got everything under control here.
=Carth= I might as well check up on things, it's been a while. *pats the Ensign on the back* Don't let the place fall apart while I'm away. *grins then walks over to a the shuttle in the small hangar, and lifts off, heading to Citadel Station*

*The 'borrowed' Republic Shuttle, taken by the crystal entity controlling PK-1, exits the polar region of Telos and skims across the restoration zone.*
*While searching through the archives within the Jedi's secret Academy, the crystal had discovered a number of things. First, and possibly most importantly, that these beings had an odd fascination with designations and names - each individual being forced to accept a unique designation in order to differentiate between individuals. A concept completely irrelevant when one looked through the Force to analyize everything, as the crystal entity did. The cybernetic host to the crystal was designated PK-1, or "Pekay" as the Verpine Ar'kikze S'ss'nixztoo had referred to him. However the archives detailed that a name should reflect the individual. The crystal was no more "Pekay" than a human was "Flesh." The Jedi's archives gave one suitable designaiton: Vexxtal. The name was used to describe a different type of crystal - one that held a dark corrupting aura common with Dark Force users. As the Jedi had been reluctant to refer to the crystal as what he truly was, "The Dark Side of the Force," then this designation would have to suffice for all interactions with such primitive and lowly creatures.*
*The newly designated "Vexxtal" had linked the ships systems and his cybernetic host's circuits directly with each other - allowing him complete seemless control over the shuttle - allowing him to see through the sensors, and navigate at a mere thought. The archives had mentioned a former droid manufacturing plant below a Military Base in one of the many Restoration Zones. The PK-1 host was inadequate - and extremely crude. He would have to upgrade the droid's systems and frame significantly. This supposedly destroyed HK-50 manufacturing plant would do perfectly - assuming any was left intact, the Jedi's archives had been unclear on the exact amount damage the Jedi and Telosian Freedom Fighters had caused*
*Vexxtal transmits the proper Republic clearance codes to the Military Base - having acquired them directly from the Jedi's main computer core, and sets down in the small hangar deep within the base. Vexxtal can see through the sensors that two Republic Soldiers had begun walking toward the shuttle, to see who was aboard. Vexxtal extends the ramp for them, so that they may board*
"Hello? Anyone here?"
"Wait, what's that? Some sort of droid hooked up to that bulkhead."
*Two of the soldiers walk up to where Vexxtal and PK-1 are directly interfaced into the computer. As they approach, Vexxtal sends a surge of charged electrical energy through the connecting conduit, causing it to explode. The two soldiers are blasted to the side as the conduit explodes directly next to them, and energy strands wrap around their clothes and body. With the soldiers now disposed of, Vexxtal detaches his host from the conduit and scuttles his way out of the ship. He maintains a constant wireless link to the shuttle's systems, allowing him to maintain control over it's sensors, to help guide him*
*It takes some time but Vexxtal is finally able to make his way down to the lower recesses of the Base and into the remains of the HK-50 Droid factory by way of small ventilation ducts and access crawl-spaces. Amazingly he is able to find a nearly-intact computer console. He plugs directly into it, and focuses his own energy with his crystaline structure to power the console. The computer hums to life, and a 3D display of the factory's operations are shown. Vexxtal searches through terabites of information before finding all the necessary parts. He then sends the command codes through the terminal to activate several of the disabled assembly-lines. As they warm up, he inputs the technical specifications for his new frame - drawing on designs obtained from the Jedi's archives; ranging from Sentinel-class and Krath Wardroids, to saber-training droids and T3-series astromech droids. He then instructs the remaining operational assembly lines to begin working on the new chassis.*

*After several hours, the assembly lines halt their production and shut down. The whirring and clanking of mechanical arms stop and Vexxtal's tiny host looks up at the completed product before him. There stood a modified version of the HK-50 chassis. All the redundant and memory systems had been replaced with more useful instruments for Vexxtal. Long range transceiver array, direct computer uplink pathways, built in reusable security and computer spikes, not to mention the vast array of devastating weapons. Flame thrower, shock arm, ion-pulse, rocket launcher, internal grenade clip, and most importantly of all; an integrated lightsaber hilt. The stereotypical HK-model head has been reformed into a more swept back version, one that mimics the head and general facial features of the Verpine. The arms end with three-clawed hands and directly in the center of the HK-50's torso is a small circular hole, the exact size of PK-1's domed head. Vexxtal has his host climb up the legs and torso of the HK-50 and extend its appendages into the hole. PK-1 then folds up, collapsing into the new chassis - his domed head becoming flush with the HK unit's chest. Slowly the photoreceptors of the HK unit flare to life in an intense red light. Then the arms and legs of the HK unit begin testing their mobility. Vexxtal's new host was complete*
"Testing vocal pattern processors. Auditory receptors functioning at 120%."
*Vexxtal then flexes the modified claw-like right hand, and the tip of a lightsaber hilt ejects as the claws retract into the forearm. There is a click but a blade does not appear. Confused, Vexxtal stretches out with the Dark Side and finds the synthetic focusing crystal set in his arm. He focuses his hate and anger, drawing upon the dark recesses of his mind, and the crystal is aligned. A magnificent red blade of energy erupts from the HK host's right wrist and arcs back around, creating a shivering hum*
"Such a unique and intriguing weapon. I shall enjoy striking down those that dare to defy me."
*Content with his creation, Vexxtal begins his assent back up to the Military Base. He takes the elevator shaft as far as it will go, and then cuts a hole through the debris blocking his way with his new integrated lightsaber. He climbs the rest of the way, until he reaches the doors leading into the Base. He plunges his red blade through the blast doors, and after a few moments the doors melt away and collapse. Vexxtal steps through only to find several frightened, yet curious, Republic Soldiers whom had noticed the melting door and come to investigate*
"Halt! Identify yourself."
"I am your god. Bow before me!"
*Before they have a chance to respond, Vexxtal stretches out his left arm and shoots several bolts of lightning at the Soldiers, causing them to real over. He then steps quickly into combat, swinging his red blade around with unimaginable accuracy, slicing through the Republic Soldiers as if they were nothing more than training buoys. He then clanks his way down to the small hangar where the shuttle that he arrived on is located. He boards the shuttle, and throws the carcasses of the two dead Republic Soldiers out before closing the ramp. Vexxtal plugs directly into the ship's systems and begins the takeoff procedures. The shuttle rises up and heads directly into the atmosphere*
