*Hokan hesitates to answer the Jedi's question about being on the Republic warship. But in the end it didn't matter one way or the other*
"We were on a mission. One of our Commanders had intel that the Reppies were holding one of our men captive. But when we got to the brig there was no one there. It was a setup, and one of my squad betrayed and killed the others. Ordo and I managed to escape. We believe there may be others that were working with him - including the Commander that fed us the false intel. And if that's the case then every mando'ad is in danger."

*Tomias raises an eyebrow.*
I'm sorry about your losses. I can see why you are so desperate to get to your own.
*Tomias sits back in the corner and crosses his legs. He looks up at the Mandalorian.*
I need to investigate this whole firing on you first. There is a huge discrepancy between what you are saying and what I've been told. I was told that a Mandalorian ship fired first on them. I have to take their word especially since your intel seems to be compromised by higher ups. But the evidence of this is back on Onderon with their fleet. I need to look at the files and get a record of the ship that fired on them.
*Tomias begins to rub his chin.*
I'm starting to think your Commander and those loyal to his true cause orchestrated this entire thing. From the lure that led the fleet there to the whole confusion afterwards. If you allow me to leave and get back to them, and build another comlink, I could inform you and probably prove to you that the Republic is still your allies. I'll also have to give them the same run down in that the Mandalorians still loyal to Mandalore are still allies. You'll have a lot more resources this way in order to get back to guy who did all of this.

*Hokan shrugs when Tomias says he needs to investigate the "who shot first" question* "You can look over as many logs as you want. You'll see that the Republic invaded Dxun and we defended our territory just like I said. I reviewed our own sensor and comm logs myself before our mission. As for the second battle when Ordo and I boarded the ship, we launched the assault pod with my team aboard first. Like I said, we never leave a vod behind. And at the time we were acting on orders that one of our men was being held captive aboard the Republic's acting flagship." *Hokan shakes his head at Tomias' second comments* "While Vhon might have orchestrated some of the second battle, the fact remains that the Republic invaded Dxun and destroyed our defenses prior to Vhon and the Parjai's arrival. In fact it was only Vhon's arrival that stopped the Republic flagship from attacking us further. Prior to arriving on Dxun, the Parjai was investigating Vjun." *The Jedi's words seemed sincere, and while he may just be making a play to save his own pathetic life, he did offer a lot. Hokan probably won't take him up on the offer, but this is at least an opportunity to speak his suppositions aloud* "Now I'll admit that the second battle was probably his doing. The rouge member of my squad claimed to part of a movement called the Kyr'tsad. The closest translation would be Death Watch. He mentioned Vhon being a member before he met his unfortunately quick demise. They consider Mand'alor a traitor to the Mando'ade, they say he has destroyed our honor and made us weak by aligning us with the jetii. They say he has forgotten who and what we are. And so their solution is to murder everyone that does not agree with their beliefs. He goaded us into sending an assault pod to rescue this fictions comrad, knowing that we'd stay and fight until we were either destroyed or we succeed in the mission. The mission had no successful outcome - as there was no captive, which means he intentionally led our men to their deaths. Deaths that will be avenged." *Hokan thinks back to the members of his squad killed by Adenn; Saviin and Sevda. And Ordo had lost Bralor. And who knows if Fett was even alive anymore. Hokan can't imagine him being defeated by any mando'ad - much like Mand'alor. But with everything that had happened, it made him at least question it* "We'll drop you off. But at a time and place that works for our purposes. Contacting your friends will be determined on how... motivated you are. We won't just drop you off so you can call your jetii masters and have them come slice us to bits. Regardless of how you think it should be, we're - for all intents and purposes - enemies now. It's not that I don't trust you, its that I don't trust who you work for." *That wasn't entirely true, Hokan didn't trust this Jedi much either* "The fact remains that the Republic attacked us. Vhon may have taken advantage of that and manipulated it to his own ends, but it does not change what happened."

*Tomias tilts his head sideways at the Jedi Master comment.*
You have us highly confused with the sith and the dark jedi. My Masters would never chase you down because you held me and let me go alive. That's not the jedi way. And I serve the Order not the Republic. There are times where the Republic and the Order don't see eye to eye. The Mandalorian War is a prime example. If what you are saying is true then someone within the Republic ranks is going against protocols. As it stands, I don't know much about current events and I was trying to get back into the rhythm of things. I've been gone for a while.
*Tomias crosses his arms and props himself up against the wall.*
Do what makes you feel comfortable. If and when you decide to drop me off just leave me there and you can sever your link with me then and there. You won't have to worry about us coming after you or anything. If you want to handle this on your own then do so.

"And yet, by your own admission, the Reppie forces invading Dxun were led by a jetii General! The dead one. The Reppies take order from the jetii, and you stand by your Republic as you always have. You reference the Wars like the jetii weren't involved. Are you that blind to your own history? The jetii are what changed the outcome of the war, and what ultimately led to your victory! Don't lie to me like that, it's just insulting. Siit, jetii, they're the same thing when you boil it down. A fanatic cult of ego manics with super powers that think everyone else should think like them and are willing to bring the whole galaxy to its knees around them just to solve some petty difference of spirituality. At least we Mando'ade are clear and honest about what we fight for. You hide it between political squabbles and religious ideologies. I'm not saying I like the siit any better than the jetii, of the two options I'll take the jetii like Mand'alor did any day. But you have to understand that not everyone thinks and feels like you: that your way is the 'right' way. And it sure as hell doesn't make me trust your little order of cult worshipers and their 'best of intentions.' So excuse me while I don't take your word for it when you say your masters won't chase us down. Especially after everything that's happened."
*Hokan glares at the Jedi for a few seconds*
"So now that you're done trying to blame other people for your own shortcomings, I'm gonna check on our status, so shut up for a second, will ya?"
*Hokan clicks his teeth and switches from vocal projection to his internal comm*

*This mandalorian was really on some type of spice or something. He was pushing alot of insinuations on Tomias. His beliefs of jedi were really flawed but Tomias knew he couldn't argue with him. The Mandalorian wars consisted of a small rebel group of jedi led by Revan, not the entire order. This guy was taking everything he was saying the wrong way and he knew there was nothing he could do or say in this moment that would prove otherwise. Tomias just sits back and uses this chance to meditate.*

::What you're not having fun?::
*The ship dorps out of hyperspace, suddenly under the influence of Commenor's slight gravity. It flies for a few minutes as Caius enters a new set of coordinates into the navicomputer. Once the route was calculated, the shuttle jumps back into hyperspace.*

*Hokan has to think for a moment on Kashyyyk. He didn't know much about it - as he had spent most of his time with the Clans in the Unknown Regions. He knew only the major planets on primary shipping lanes and few points of interest. Kashyyyk was only vaguely familiar. Forested world with some sort of giant monkey-bear-like species. Fierce warriors if he remembered right. It sounded like a suitably difficult planet to strand a Jedi on*
::Sounds good. Let me know when we get there, I'll keep an eye on our guest back here.::
*Hokan clicks his teeth and switches back to vocal projection*
"I hope you brushed up on your survival skills training recently, jetii."

*Tomias continues his meditation and reaches out with the Force and uses the Force to get a map of his initial surroundings. With the image of the ship in his head he locates his lightsabers clipped to the Mandalorian's belt and keeps their location fresh on his mind just in case these two decide to act out on their "funny ideas." When the Mandalorian talks about survival skills Tomias makes no movements or facial expressions. He just stays focused on his meditations and thinking about all that's happened making an effort to connect dots on his own.*

*The Jedi remains silent. Hokan does too and just watches him. He was probably using his Force magic to heal himself or trying to plant ideas in their heads. Well let him try, Hokan feels confident that he could resist whatever tricks this Jedi tried to pull on him. After a while Hokan speaks*
"We should almost be there. We'll drop you off and then be on our way. Don't make this more difficult then it has to be, jetii."

[After dropping off the Jedi in the Kashyyyk Shadowlands, the Kyrayc returns to Kashyyk's orbit.]*Hokan takes a seat next to Caius and opens up the navigational computer on his screen. Where would they go now? The rally point after the battle was supposed to be Vjun, but Vhon knew about that. If anyone else managed to escape the Republic, he'd surely be waiting for them there along with all his Death Watch buddies. Hokan looks over at Caius and realizes that he is not in a right mood. He hadn't been since they had escaped from that damned Republic ship and discovered that the Tracyn was destroyed. Hokan had lost brothers before - his closest of kin, he knew what it was like and what Caius was going through. He pats Caius on the shoulder* "Why don't you let me take the conn for a while, eh vod? I promise not to crash into any more planets." *Caius nods and switches places with Hokan. Hokan takes the shuttle off cruise mode and back to manual - it just felt more comfortable* "I know you want to meet up with the survivors of the attack, but the truth is, vod, we don't know if there were any survivors. We need to get to the bottom of this whole conspiracy, and we need to do it before Vhon realizes we're still out here. You heard what Adenn said, the Death Watch doesn't care who they kill or how they kill as long as they gain control over our vode. Now before we arrived on Dxun, Drexl squad was dispatched to destroy a known Death Watch camp on Rhen Var. Adenn set the charges and we blew it. But... if Adenn was Death Watch all along, then theres a pretty good likelihood that that camp is still around. I think our best option is to get in there, extract as much info as we can and blow the place for good. We'd get the intel we need, and get a strike back against those blood suckers. Setting a course now." *Caius simply nods his head and looks away - obviously lost in thought* "Alright vod, I'll set the course now." *A few minutes later the shuttle jumps into hyperspace for Rhen Var*

*Caius slumps in his seat thinking about Bralor. He keeps his helmet on, lest Hokan would actually see his face. Caius had no interest in being a puss in front of another Mando, let alone a cute one like Hokan. As much as he wanted to be strong, Caius couldn't. He couldn't speak. He couldn't think. His brain was clogged with grief and regret, second guesses about weather he'd squandered his first meeting with someone like him...or if he was just robbed.*
*Caius closes his eyes, trying to sleep in his beskar shell, but unable too, he gets up and heads to the databank, pulling up the information on Rhen Var. He'd never heard of the planet. It was an ice ball, barely habitable. Caius hated the cold, but he makes no sign of protest. Caius flips through the screens of information.*
Don't you think we're better off letting Vhon think we're dead?

*Hokan glances over at Caius who finally speaks up after they make the jump to hyperspace. He was obviously taking the loss of his brothers hard. It'd happened to Hokan before, many times, so he knew how to deal with. That didn't make it any easier though.*
"Yeah, we probably would be. But any vode out there that survived the attack and all our brothers on Mandalore, Concord Dawn or any other colony world won't be. We can't just bury our heads in the sand and let Vhon pick off anyone that doesn't agree with him. We'll have to take him down somehow. And to do that we need intel on the Death Watch, on Vhon, on this whole thing if we're gonna do anything about it. And right now our best bet for gathering that intel is Rhen Var."
*Hokan then shrugs*
"Plus, I don't plan on leaving anyone or anything that could let Vhon know we were the ones that hit Rhen Var."

I'm not worried about leaving them alive...I'm worried about them being alive long enough to reveal us....
*Caius thinks for a moment in frustration, there are a lot of thougts bouncing around his head and he can't concentrate.*
I've never heard of "Death Watch." We dont know anything about them. I think we're rushing into this, especially since we have the luxury of not even existing at this point.
Do you even have any experience with covert ops? recon? hazardous planets?

"Well, we'd obviously take out the comm satellite and evac. shuttles first. Don't worry Ordo, this isn't my first op."
*Hokan unlocks the seal on his helmet and slips it off, revealing his blue skin, blue-black hair and glowing red eyes. He cracks his neck and runs a hand through his hair before leaning back in the seat and propping his boots up on the control panel*
"I wouldn't say we dong know anything. We know they're a splinter group opposed to Mand'alor's reunification of the clans and his non-aggression pact with the Reppies. We know they want control over the Mando'ade and will stop at nothing to get it. We know they kill their own vod in cold blood. And we know that they're a bunch of punks. We also know they have a base on Rhen Var and that Commander Vhon is a key player in their organization. From that we can assume they control the Parjai and are currently the most heavily armed Mandalorian Force in the known galaxy - as Mand'alor's fleet is still in the Unknown Regions. Everything else... well that's what this op is for, to collect more info on them while simultaneously dealing them a blow to the face."
"As for me and my experience. Yeah, I've been around the quadrant a few times. I was a Commando for the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force for six years before joining up with the Mando'ade seven years ago. Mand'alor himself hand picked me and my squad. I've done more ops, recons, and missions than any other Mando'ad in the fleet; both with and without the rest of Drexl Squad. The last one being with Fett and Bralor to Nar Shaddaa. Before we hit Dxun, the Drexls and I were on Rhen Var to check out the Death Watch camp we're headed for. Our cover got blown and we had to take refuge in some caves to the North. Adenn set some charges and we thought we had blown the place. But if my suspicions are right: that Adenn was in league with the Death Watch already - then it's pretty likely that the camp is still around. And even if it's not... well at least we'll know for sure."
*Hokan shifts his gaze from the swirling blue hyperspace vortex out the window and over to Caius. He knew that he was a Sergeant under Fett and that he was primarily a medic. But other than that, Hokan didn't know much about mando'ad*
"And you, Ordo? I assume you've got some sort of combat experience, or is it all medical?"

I have some, not much. Most of it was during the Mandalorian wars. Mand'alor liberated my planet from the Republic, well....twice. They say it was the Republic that liberated us, but that wasn't really what happened. I did a lot of insurgency work there, but before and after, and then fought in the Wars proper once I became Mando.
Fighting isn't really my thing though. I'll do it when I have to, but I don't really enjoy going out of my way to start something or doing something for no reason. I think I can hold my own, though Cassus kicked my ass.

"Haha - yeah, Fett has a tendency to do that. I'm sure you'll do fine. We owe it to te Kyrayc that we succeed on this mission. And to all our remaining brothers and sisters out there."
*Hokan looks out the viewport window away from Caius. They'd both lost those closest to them. But that only made Hokan's drive to avenge his brothers stronger. This was personal now. Vhon and every collaborator would pay*
