*The Underlord's shuttle lands upon Mustafar, and he exits, opening himself to the force, he doesn't feel anything except himself on this forgotten world. He walks throughout the premises, and doesn't find anything except a few rodents, which quickly fall to his saber. He enters one of the old training facilites*

*BOOM!! The pod crashes. Metal and debris flying everywhere. All that is left is the wrecked remains of the pod. The door seemed to just fall off when he kicked it trying to get out. As he stumbled from wreckage he hears the faint sound of thrusters in the distance. He tries to regain his senses, then cuts into an all out sprint. Hoping to find shelter from what he knew was coming for him.*

*The cargo ship lands on Mustafar's surface, not far from the crash landing. The smugglers kill the engines and exit the ship. A team of two goes through the wreckage while the leader talks to the rest of his men.*
=Smuggler 1(Leader)=
Seems our prey isn't in the wreckage. *Looks around.* We'll have to search through this old abandoned Jedi academy. I want you all to go in teams of two. That makes four teams. Should be enough to look around for him.
*Shouting*
You two at the wreckage, stay outside in case he comes into the clearing.
*Looking back to the rest of the group.*
The other three teams search inside. Let's go.
*The three teams, split up and search down the hallways and rooms of the abandoned academy.*

*The shuttle descends to the surface. Lara brings out the landing gear and lowers the shuttle down to the spot they picked out to land. As she lands, the shuttle jars slightly before settling in place. She cuts the engines and lowers the ramp. She gets up from the pilot's seat and looks up at Alex.*

*Alex releases his death grip on the co-pilot's seat, noting that his knuckles are stark white. That may very well have been the most terrifying experience in his life thus far. And this was coming from the man that had been host to a Sith Lords spirit. At least he had been able to get some much needed sleep during the long hyperspace trip. He gets up and nods at Lara*
"A good first landing. I only feared for my safety a few times."
*Alex forces a half-hearted laugh, trying to make it into a joke*
"Ha ha... yeaaaaah. Alright! Well, let's get this show on the road."
*Alex walks toward the exit of the ship and opens up the boarding ramp with a push of the release button. He then drapes the large hood of his black cloak over his head and walks out into the hot ash-filled air of Mustafar*
"What are your initial thoughts, my Padawan?"

*Lara exits right after Alex. When he asks for her opinion, she looks around the planet.*
It's hot. There's alot of lava and ash. Not an ideal first choice to live, that's for sure.
*She sees the Academy itself.*
Looks old and unused. Like it's been dead for years.
*However, she takes in the scene around her.*
However, seems something happened around here recently.

*Alex looks down and notes the recent tracks in the settled ash, as well as the scrapes caused by some other vessel's landing struts*
"Indeed, the last known occupants here were a small order of Gray Force users nearly four years ago. They abandoned the Academy after their own government turned on them. But like you said, there is evidence of recent activity. If that is the case, how should we proceed?"

*Lara looks from Alex back to the scene before her. She twirls her hair and looks around, wandering off a little bit to take in the scene before her.*
With caution would be the obvious answer. I saw no ship coming in. There don't seem to be any around or I think our ship would have noted that. Still, it doesn't mean someone's still not around.
*She looks forward into the entrance of the academy.*
And if these individuals were anywhere, there's the possibility they are in there.

*Alex nods. Her observations and tactics were sound. As were her conclusions. Alex feels confident that she is making excellent progress*
"Quite right. Just because there is no immediate evidence of danger, there is enough reasonable suspicion to indicate a possible presence. That doesn't mean a threat, but it does mean we should be alert. I'll take point. Keep your senses open."
*Alex equips his lightsaber and leads the way into the dilapidated Academy*

As you wish, master. Lead on.
*She waits for Alex to move past her and follows him. When he equips his lightsaber, Lara wishes she had the time to make hers. It'd have been useful to have. But for now, her practice saber and what skills she had would have to make up for that.*

*From Orbit, the Lightning Fury, a Delaya-Class Courier that Arligan had fixed up and modified, smoothly glides through the atmosphere towards the landing pad of the Abandoned Jedi Academy. Within the Cockpit, Arligans open a little wider, noting that there happens to be a ship here already. He lands the fury expertly a bout twenty yards from the intruding vessel, the modified laser cannons directed at the shuttle from the side, making sure any forward firing weapons systems on the shuttle would be useless from it's current position. Arligan looks over to Cassus*
"Buir, that ship isn't Salkar's. We should probably scope this place out to see if we happen to have any unwanted guests. Not to mention my legs could use a good stretching..."

*Cassus scans the shuttle with his HUD's systems, giving him a basic run down of it's primary systems and the locations of key points*
"Looks to be Republic by design with no significant modification. Likely a fleet ship. Why they'd be here though is anyone's guess. Mustafar has been abandoned for over fifty years."
*He nods to Arligan*
"Let's take a look."
*Cassus walks to the hatch and triggers the button open. He walks out as he equips one of his blaster pistols, and survey's the immediate area*
"Looks clear here."
*He takes a magnetic det-pac off his belt and flips the switch to the half-way position, and tosses it at the Republic Shuttle, it instantly latches on to the side of the ship. Cassus then pockets the detonation remote, should he need to use it in the future. He speaks to Arligan but continues to scan the area for life signs on his HUD - none in the shuttle.*
"Better safe then sorry. The shuttle's clear. But it looks like the base is pretty heavily shielded with rock and debris - can't get a clear read on the interior."

*Arligan follows Cassus out of the Fury and onto the landing pad, while his buir checks out the shuttle, Arligan sets up shop behind a box, setting his sniper up aiming at the only entrance into the nearby academy with his high powered scope, checking for anyone coming out to check out their landing. As Cassus joins him, he puts his sniper onto his back and pulls out his two pistols. He nods*
"If you wouldn't mind Buir, close-range combat isn't my forte yet, if you'd like to leave, I'll watch your back"

"Like to leave? We're mando'ade, ad'ika. We don't leave at the first sign of a little trouble. I'll take point, you follow in behind. This place is old - there's bound to be downed passages and narrow corridors. Keep your head on a swivel."
*Cassus walks up to the entrance into the abandoned academy. The door seemed to be stuck in the open position, as if pushed aside with considerable force. Cassus, of course, had no idea how accurate that statement truly was. He and Arligan enter the Academy and begin scowering the first few corridors - their HUD's attempting to lock onto any heat signature or life signs. None yet, but like Cassus had mentioned, the Academy was heavily shielded by the sheer amount of stone*

*Lara shakes her head as she leads Nahte to the ship.*
No. You are in no condition to fight. I can understand your desire to want a shot at these guys, if they are who you think they are. But let us think on this situation first. You are injured. Despite my abilities in the Force, I am not a fighter.
There is also the possibility these aren't the people you think they are. Whether they be hostile or not, Alex can handle whoever it is. On the off chance he can't, what makes you think either one of us can? I do not mean this against you, but you have already suffered previous injuries. Our best option would be to wait on the ship. If something happened to Alex, we have to leave.
*While rationalizing with Nahte, Lara had been leading him to the ship. When she finishes rationalizing, she finds they are at the shuttle.*
Oh good. Here we are. This is our ship.
*Lara looks at the ship from a distance. If these were the "buyers" Nahte was talking about or some other hostile, if they noticed the ship they'd very likely check it to some degree. They could have left an ambush inside. Lara took a few steps closer.*
Nahte. Please stay right here while I check the ship? *Her tone was one asking another's consent, not commanding.*
*Without looking back at him for a reply, she continued forward. No, she could not see anyone in the Force around or in the ship. The Miraluka Force Sight could see through walls after all. The closer she was, the better she could see where she wanted. But as she drew even closer, she could still see nothing.*
*Mumbling to herself.* Left no ambush party. No one aboard or around the ship. What would be another step taken?
*Lara thinks on it for a moment. If one wouldn't leave someone behind, what would they do? They'd plant a tracker, a bug, or some other device...a bomb? No. She didn't want to go there. But it was possible. But it made sense. If you didn't leave someone on the ship you'd either bug it and/or track it, or plant a bomb somewhere. She couldn't be too cautious at this point. It was very possible that Nahte's other party was here or someone equally or more hostile.*
*Lara decides to check around the ship first. She was outside already. Best to start there. If she found nothing, she'd check inside. But she wouldn't let Nahte board without giving her seal of approval. If a buy went wrong, the buyers would want to get rid of evidence. Nahte was a crucial piece of evidence left floating around.*
*She starts to make a circle around the ship and goes on the side opposite of the detpack. She checked every spot she could. If you wanted to plant something onto a ship, it was best to place it somewhere not as noticeable, right? Lara twirled her hair while she thought about it and continued looking. She slowly made her way across one side of the ship and found herself at the front of it.*
*She checked the nose of the shuttle and underneath it. If only she could climb atop it. That was too much work right now and she could try that after searching ground level of the shuttle. The viewport would be too obvious to plant something. It would be like saying "Here I am! Get rid of me!" So she made her way around to the other side. She was about halfway done and was starting to think maybe she was being overly cautious. Nahte was probably thinking she was anyway. But Lara wanted to make sure that he'd be safe, that they all would be safe. She turns to look at Nahte for a brief moment, then looks back at the ship. When she turns around she spots something.*
Wait. What is...this?
*It had a blinking red light. It wasn't all that big. But it looked too big to be a bug or a tracker. Plus wouldn't a bug go inside a shuttle? A tracker, maybe. But it looked too bulky for one. Usually trackers were meant to be small and unnoticeable. Granted she wouldn't have found this thing if she wasn't looking for it, but just doing a sweep around the shuttle like she had and she found it. She ruled out tracker. Too bulky and obvious. Blinking red light? Possibly a bomb. But why just the one? There had to be more.*
Nahte. Don't come near. I found something. I'm checking for more...somethings.
*Telling Nahte it was a bomb was probably not a good idea right now. Make herself look busy, maybe Nahte wouldn't demand an explanation. She checks around the ramp and goes inside the shuttle when she finds nothing at the back of the shuttle. If she found nothing inside, she'd try to get on top of the shuttle...and underneath it to find more.*

*Leiah finally becomes conscious. That karking mandie bastard! He shot her! She finds herself strapped down to a medical cot. Using her claws, that were unique to her pure-blood Arkanian physiology, she rips through the bindings and sits up. She was in a tiny medical room. Leiah rubs her head, the stunning effect of the blaster still there, but she does her best to shake it off. She picks herself up off the cot and goes to the door. Locked. Well that wasn't a problem. She pries off the door's control panel with her claws and crosses the appropriate wires. There is a sharp snap and the circuit overloads and sparks. The doors open. Standing there is a Mandalorian with a long gun - but not one of the two that had kidnapped her*
"Kark."
*She thrusts out her hands and uses Force Push on the mando minion followed by Force Stun, then rushes out of the medical room. She looks to her right and sees an open hatch. She rushes for it and dives out, rolling as she does so. She comes to a stop on the landing platform of a very hot, incredibly smelly planet. And she thought Tatooine was bad.... It appeared that the two Mandalorians that had confronted her on Tatooine had kidnapped her and they were no longer on the sandy dustball. Instead they were now on an equally hot and smelly planet. It wreaked of sulfur and burnt hair*
*Looking up she sees another ship nearby, one she instantly recognizes - a Republic shuttle. Not her first choice, but a hell of a lot better than the Mandies. Beside it was a small girl in Jedi robes, looking at the hull of the Republic Shuttle. Kark it all... Jedi... still, between the two choices, she'd take the Jedi. At least they hadn't kidnapped her before... except for that one time as a baby....*
"A little help here!"
*She runs over to Lara, knowing that the Mandalorian guard from the med room was probably going to be chasing after her very shortly*

*Just as Lara is entering the ship, she hears someone exclaiming they wanted help. She pokes her head out of the shuttle. Was it Nahte? She looks over towards him. No. Wasn't him. She thought it sounded a little too feminine for him. She looks over to see someone running towards her.*
*Crap! Guess she had to abandon the search for now. She couldn't let the woman near the ship. Lara exits the ship and walks towards Lara.*
Yes Miss? What is wrong?
*She makes sure to stop at a certain point so that the obviously arkanian woman doesn't get near the ship. She looks back to the ship, then to the woman.*
Sorry. I can't let you near the ship for now. Someone planted something on it. I'm no expert on the matter, but I believe it is a bomb of some sort.

*Leiah instantly recognizes the girl as a Miraluka after she turns around. One of her uncle's best friends was a Miraluka Jedi, and she had known several in her Padawan days. That was before their world was destroyed by the Sith of course.*
"A bomb? I wouldn't doubt it. And probably planted by those Mandalorians over there!"
*No sooner does she say 'Mandalorian' than the Mandalorian she had stunned comes running out of the hatch after her. Too bad they had confiscated her blaster, she could definitely use it right now*
"They've got blasters. We don't. Get down!"
*Leiah jumps and rolls to the side, as the Mandalorian fires off a stun blast at where Leiah was just standing*

Manda-!
*Before she can finish her exclamation of what she just found out, she sees a mandalorian come bolting out of another ship with guns blazing. Dangit! Fighting wasn't her thing. She didn't believe in it. But defending...that was totally within reason. She dodges to the side and twirls in a circle, grabbing her training saber as she does, activating it, then jumping into action deflecting the shots. She used the form of Shii-Cho, a form she was very well versed in, to deflect the shots.*
I may not have a blaster, but this should work for lack of a better counter measure.
*Now just what could she do? She was on the defensive trying to draw the mandalorian's fire. She couldn't search the ship, and she didn't yet know how to subdue the mandalorian attacking them.*

*Leiah crouches down as Lara rolls up beside her, deflecting several bolts with her lightsaber. But rather than going on the attack, the Jedi continued to block... this was going to get them nowhere. The Miraluka girl looked young, perhaps she wasn't skilled enough to take on a Mandalorian. Either that or she just refused to attack. The saber was an off-shade of green afterall - the standard consular color.*
"Give me your lightsaber!"
*Leiah sidesteps around another blaster bolt, using her rusty connection with the Force to anticipate where the bolts would strike*
"Trust me!"

*Lara hesitates when she demands the lightsaber. She just wanted it like that? What would she know about wielding a lightsaber. Lara glances at her for a moment, trying to get a better "look" at her. Hm. Like Nahte, she had a strong connection to the Force, definently above average. Definently someone the Jedi would be interested in. Wait. She uttered those words "Trust me!". She wanted her lightsaber and wanted Lara to trust her ability to use it. Had she spent some time with the Jedi...or Sith? Or perhaps some other lightsaber wielding Force cult? She really had no other choice in the matter. Deflecting was getting them no where. Lara would have to trust her.*
*Lara nods to Leiah and tosses her the training saber, hoping she'd catch it and not cut off a hand. No time to deactivate, reactivate, and continue onward. Had to be one quick motion. If she was skilled enough to think she could wield it, catching it as it was in midair shouldn't be a problem. After tossing the saber, Lara rolls to the side. Her best bet was to see what Leiah could do with the saber and provide support with her Force Powers.*

*The Jedi had hesitated, but not too long, she tosses over the lightsaber and Leiah snatches it out of the air with relative ease. It had been almost ten years since she last wielded a lightsaber, but the reflexes and the movements all came back to her in an instant. She knows exactly what to do*
*Leiah flashes forward using Burst of Speed as she propels herself at the Mandalorian taking aim. She dodges left around a blaster bolt as she see's it coming, in her slowed-down perception of time, due the the Burst of Speed. At the last second she Force Jumps into the air, and comes down hard on top of the Mandalorian, bringing the lightsaber into direct contact with his helmet and... it bounces off?*
"What the hell?"
*Leiah lands at an awkward angle, having calculated landing after slicing through the mandalorian. But he was still fully intact. There was a nasty scorch mark on his helmet, and he probably had a bruise, but he was still standing. Leiah glances down at the lightsaber. A training saber!?*
"Oh kriff."
*That momentary pause gives the mandalorian enough time to smack Leiah, and she falls backwards. She uses the momentum to do a backwards somersault and she comes to a stop in a crouched position, ready to spring upon the Mandalorian again. He lowers his blaster, but Leiah jumps up and bats the blaster away with the Jedi's training saber. She shouts back to Lara*
"This is significantly more difficult then I thought it would be!"
*The Mandalorian and Leiah exchange several strikes, but ultimately Leiah wasn't going to penetrate that armor without a real lightsaber. She yells at Lara again*
"Any help here would be hot!"

Post by Lara Rhys on Feb 12, 2011 0:15:58 GMT -5
*When Lara watches her training saber bounce off the mandalorian's helmet, Lara knew she had to provide back up that moment. She rushes in, but hasn't yet learned how to speed herself up with Force Powers so it takes her a moment longer to get to where the mandalorian is than it did Leiah. But when she is there and right as Leiah is demanding help again, Lara uses Force Stun, and follows it up with Force Push to hopefully stun him for a bit and push him aside.*
What the heck was that? I could tell you had a significant connection to the Force, yes. I could also discern you must have had some experience with a lightsaber. But all that? Where did that come from? Suddenly random people coming off random ships are skilled Force Users?

*Leiah takes a step back as the Mandalorian in front of her is stunned and then topples backwards from Lara's attack. Finally. Leiah deactivates the training saber and rushes over before the stunning effect can wear off, then rips the Mandalorian's blaster from his hands. She turns it over on him, switching to regular blasting mode, and fires three shots into his heavily armored torso. She then takes a step back and lets out a sigh and tosses the saber hilt back to Lara*
"It's a long story, and not one I really like to delve into. Listen, that one was just some thug working with the others. The two mandies that kidnapped me have to be around here someplace. We need to get into that shuttle of yours and get the hell off this rock now."
